Stampin Up, enjoy the adventure

I have a simple little card for you today. I just love this piece of Designer series paper from the Park Lane collection. It's got such a great pattern without being too busy, great one for those guy cards.

To make it a bit different I rounded two of the corners and added the silver bakers twine.

I sent this one to my grandson who has just started a new career.  He was doing fine with the job he had, but he had a dream and he went for it.

I am going to start doing my fast and fabulous cards again, but instead of wed, I think I'll do it on Sat.
I hope you will stop by for those, they are always fun and quick.

Stampin Up, Merry and Bright, Mojo Monday 356

Happy Mojo Monday to you.

I told myself I was NOT going to be doing Christmas cards this early.  Then SU went and released a couple of sets early.

Part of this card is made with Endless Wishes from last year. It's a photopolymer set that sold out so fast that most people didn't get a chance at it.   SU is now making their own Photopolymer stamps, and brought this one back since it was so popular, it's available now.
The other set in this card, Christmas Bliss, is also available now. Otherwise, you'll start seeing the Holiday catalog out in Aug and will be able to start ordering Aug 28th.

I started with Cherry Cobbler for my base, and I made my background using white and the smallest snowflake from the Endless wishes set, with a gold ink pad.

I hope this gives you an idea to start your holiday cards.

Stampin Up, Flower Patch get well

I need a get well card and I just love the new Flower Patch set along with the matching framelits, Flower Fair.

A very simple card, I used a piece from the All Abloom DSP set.

I used Smoky Slate for my card base, it's one of my favorite colors. It just seems to go with everything, such a wonderful neutral color.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Stampin Up PPA213, You and Me

It's that time of the week for a PPA challenge. At first I just couldn't think of a thing to do for this sketch.   But as I was having issues with even sitting at my desk last night, I let it go until this morning and my brain worked on it during the night. I woke up knowing what to do.

I debated about going just black and white, but decided to look through my DSP and see what came up. PSSSSSST, you know that for the rest of this month, July, SU is having a sale on Designer Series Paper, right? Buy 3 and get one free.

Anyway, I saw this one and it spoke to me.  I'm very happy with how it turned out. This little frame is one of 2 in a new frame embossing set, worked out very well.

Thanks for coming by, I hope I have inspired you just a little bit.

Stampin Up, Mojo Monday 355

I am finally here with my Mojo Monday card for this week.  Going to Curves 3 times a week kinda cuts into my stamping time, especially monday.

Cute, cute sketch this week.  I kept it simple, but strangely enough I ended up using quite a few products on it.  I love the larger scallop on this edgelit and it worked perfect here.

So, my colors are: Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana.  For the bottom circle I  used my brayer to put ink on one side of my embossing folder, then laid down my circle and embossed as usual.  I think it gave it a bit of a different look then if I'd just put another layer of brown.

I had to stamp the sentiment and punch out using the large oval punch to cover the sentiment on this stamp.  One of my stamp customers who comes to class with me is in the hosp. So I needed something for her, loving the sequins, they add just a little bling and there are a ton of them in this box. I only wish there were more colors available. These are one of the Incolor sets.

I hope you enjoy and I was able to give you some ideas of your own.
BTW, until the end of this month, SU is having a special on the Designer Series Paper, buy 3 packs and get one free.   It's a great deal and will give you plenty of DSP to last a long time.

Also, if you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin, please do! SU has really amped up their game with it. I am thrilled with every month. This month is awesome, gorgeous boxes, beautiful ribbon and way more.

Stampin Up, early release Christmas stamp set

Stampin Up is releasing this stamp set now, so If you'd like to get a head start on your christmas stamping this one's for you.
It's such a gorgeous set and I had a lot of fun with it.  I love when I show my hubby my latest card and get a wow. It doesn't happen often.

I used Marina Mist for the card base, then sponged Marina Mist, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight onto a piece of Whisper White.
Tip, after taping your sponge on the ink pad, bare down very softly at first or you'll end up with too much ink, then put a bit more pressure on it.

I stamped using black ink, and almost left it at that, I liked it.  But decided to color in at least some of it.  I'm glad I did, I love how it turned out, I used markers on it.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts 212

Good morning, it's thursday so it's time for another PPA challenge.  This week the team is doing a sketch challenge. I kind of like that we alternate sketches and colors.
I have to say, I have found such a yummy color combo for this. I'll be using it again, often probably.
The brand new Blackberry Bliss and Blushing Bride, they were make for each other.

The pattern paper is from the All Abloom small Designer Series Paper Pad, if you have been here before you know I love these as they are made card sized, even the designs are made to fit.

The new ribbon that matches the new incolors is so soft and yummy all on it's own. I had to have all of them, and I don't usually do that, not because I don't want them all, but one only has so much money, right?

Here is this weeks sketch. Come and play along, you'll find the link on my right side bar.

Stampin Up Birthday card

Yesterday was my DH's birthday. He is a die hard patriotic fan, so this is his card.
I started with Whisper White base card, then added the Real Red, then cut the largest size of the banner framelits.
I had to cut the white under it by hand. I layered the banner, then used my trimmer to cut the sides and cut off the bottom, then cut the banner end by hand.

The paper is Maritime. Don't you just love that cute little star clip?  It's from the Basic Hodgepodge clips package.
