Mojo Monday #450 Botanical Hello

Since hubby is on the injured list right now, instead of packing up for our trip like I was going to be doing, I'm just sitting around bored.  Trip is off, so I am doing challenges.  Today, I'm posting  my Mojo Monday card for this week.

This was such a fun card to make! I love grabbing from here and there and pulling it all together.
Here is the sketch:

Mine seems a little busy, but hey! I have fun, and that's what matters, right?  I am also impatiently waiting to place a large order with SU when the new catalog goes live on the 1st.  And yes, I have stamps, paper, punches and dies, but NEW STUFF, can't wait for new stuff.   This years Annual catalog is fabulous!!!

So, moving on.  I used Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron and Night of Navy and Crumb Cake.
Right away I have to say, the seam bindings, all of them, are retired. So I do not have many ribbons to use and non that I liked on this, so retired it is.  I'm sad though, to see all the seam bindings leave, they are so soft and pretty and light weight.

I attached my Watermelon Wonder to one side of my DSP, atached the ribbon around, then cut my banner from the Banner Framelits.  I actually cut two and put them together cutting the top down on the top one.  Then I cut all my flower and leaf pieces, sponged color on and attached with Dimentionals.  I also added a candy dot, sorry to say, these are also on the retired list.  I shall miss them.

Thanks for checking this card out. If there are any questions, please just ask in the comments, I read every one of them. If you want an answer, sorry to say, it has to be in the comments as well, as Blogger does not give me emails, but you can leave it for me if you like.

Stampin Up, GDP #038, Just for you

I had an idea in my head that I was not totally sure of, but it didn't turn out too bad, I think I like it. There have been so many cards made with this new set, Swirly Bird and the matching framelits, Swirly Scribbles, that I wanted to do something a little different with it.

It has been super popular so far, and it's just been demo's as it is not avail. for the public until June 1st. But I bet it continues to be a really popular set, it is bundle priced in the new Annual catalog.
For this card, I used one of the new incolors, Sweet Sugarplum.

I taped down a piece of paper on either side of the area I wanted to work on, then just stamped away, I then took the paper away, added the linen thread on the side and stamped 3 small swirls.  I stamped the background circle and cut a swirl out of Whisper White and layered on top, then added my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

If you love this set and purchase it, please leave me your link, I'd love to see what you have done.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stampin Up, class card, Watercolor words.

This card features a couple things that are retiring in a few days, but it was a card my class made a couple months ago. The background is a template and they are not in the new 2016-2017 catalog, but you can make some of your own.  I like to use some of my dies for templates.   I did one like that using the Scalloped thinlits not long ago. Just use printer paper so it's thin, and instead of sponging, use a fat brush and ink pad for the color.

The stamp is Bloom for You. It makes the lighter accents just by stamping it in any color. It's a favorite of mine, but it has retired as of May 31st, 2016. So, right now you still have a few days.

The Watercolor words however, has carried over.  There are lots of fun ways to use this set. All the sentiments are done in the same font.  It's a simple and very fun and useful card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts challenge #302

I'm trying to use what I can of retiring stuff, as of next week, I won't be showing it anymore. But for now, some of it may still be available.

The back ground is from Pretty Petals DSP stack, which is 6" x 6". I've really enjoyed this one.
Colors for this are Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Calypso Coral.

The candy dots in the top corner are retiring. I love those things, sure hate to see them go. It's so much fun using them.

Otherwise we have product that is in the new catalog.  The sentiment is from Watercolor Words, a carry over that I love.  And the little cupcake is from Party Wishes and has a set of 3 little punches at match.
Here is our sketch:
Come on over HERE, And check out what the team has done this week.  Love to have you play along!

Stampin UP Thanks using Rose Garden Thinlits.

I was just playing around in my stamp room today. I had a left over rose from the Rose Garden Thinlits and decided to play with it.
The colors are New Dapper Denim and Pool Party. I love how they worked together.

I simply put the rose on the bottom of the card, added a piece of DSP from the Sutbles DSP stack, it's a 12x12 paper stack with several patterns in all the subtles colors.  I then used a piece of the Dapper Denim ruched ribbon to hide my seam.

It's been a very long time since I've used Papillan Potpourri!  I've had this set so long it is in the old style cases and is separated from the rest of my sets, so I don't think about it.  But it's such a neat little set of butterflies.
I used the Bitty Butterfly punch to cut out the center one from the same paper as on top, then stamped and cut out the other two.  It's hard to see, but I added pearls for bling.

I topped it off with the retiring Greetings Thinlits. So sorry to see these go, but I'll be keeping mine.

colors:  Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Pool Party
Stamps and dies ect:  Rose Garden Thinlits-140619, Greetings thinlits- 138275, Papillan Potpourri 123759,  Bitty Butterfly Punch- 129406,  3/8" Ruched Ribbon-141424, Subtles DSP stack-138437

Thanks for coming by, have a wonderful day.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts challenge #301

We have a fun color challenge this week.  Here are the colors.

I started by using the largest square in the square framelits to cut a small  scallop for the bottom of the card.  I trimmed the card base just a bit to accomdate it.

Then I stamped Pool Party ink on my Pool Party card base to create more interest.  I added the patterned paper then the stamped sentiment.  I know you can't really see it, but the balloons and the sentiment is covered in Wink Of stella.
The square framelits are being replace with new product after May 31, and the DSP and bundle pricing on the Party Wishes will be leaving as well. So, if you want it, better hurry. After May 31st Party Wishes will be available at a price for each.

Come on over to PPPA and play along.

Stampin Up, Swirly Bird, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Sneak Peek

Another quick sneak Peek at this new Swirly Scribbles die set, the matching stamps have a ton more to them as well.

This color is the new incolor Flirty Flamingo! I love it. I'm a blue person, so I've been thinking that Dapper Denim would be my fav, but this color is so pretty!

The Swirly flower is attached to a Night of Navy piece cut using the new Square Framelits.  There are 4 sets, 2 reg square sets and 2 sets with scallops.  It makes it so easy to have just the right size for your needs.
I stamped the base in the same color with the roses, then used the Whisper White to  add in grunge, that stamp is even included in the set.

The little pearls on my flower swirl just add a bit of interest, you could also use the tiny flower stamp and/or die to add to it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge 300

What a sweet, fun sketch we have this week.  I hadn't used my Flower Patch set in a long time, so dug it out. I think it worked perfect on this sketch.
I thought about adding the flowers and leaves to a tag, but decided I really liked it just like this.

The brown piece with silver designs is from the retiring Shine On Speciality DSP. It's a heavy stock that would work really well on boxes, so if you don't have any, you might want to look into getting some really quick.

The rest is simple, Pear Pizzazz Ink on Pear Pizzazz paper for leaves, and Watermelon Wonder with Blushing Bride for my flower, with a Daffodil Delight Enamel Dot in the center.

The sentiment is from Crazy About You.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, A Happy Hello sneak Peek 2016 Annual catalog

I just got my preorder and I couldn't keep my hands off the Swirly Bird set!  It's a bundle in the new catalog. So, so many pieces, so many thing to do with it! I just did up a quick card. Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaron and So Saffron.

I sponged on the So Saffron, then used little grunge stamp in the set to add the same color in grunge.
I stamped the larger flower on the bottom and embossed with Cherry Cobbler. Cherry Cobbler embossing powder is retiring, so if you want some work quick!

I then stamped on more small flowers, little roses and the little daisy and added a few stems.  The sentiment from Tin of Cards seemed perfect.  I did add in that cute little bird, just because. Pretty quick and simple!

I hope you enjoy it and it works as inspiration for your own card.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts color challenge #299, Hello

Todays card features some more retired items. They are still current until the end of May 2016, so if any of it's something you can't live without, you might want to buy it now.  When it's gone, it's gone and it's going fast.

I used the Striped Scallop die, to get this effect I cut out a printer paper template first.  Then I used a bit of Washi tape to hold it down to the card piece. You can use post its also.  I then sponged on the two colors, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz.

I used Beautiful Bunch stamps to make the top flower in my stack, and just cut one out of gold foil and one from the Pear to complete the stack. The little one on top middle is stamped from the same set, and cut using the Petite Petal punch.
I finished it off with a large pearl from the Pearl Basics.

My sentiment is cut from gold foil also, using the Hello You Thinlits.  A tip for this, if you do not have the Precision plate, use a piece of wax paper between the die and the CS.   Otherwise the light weight paper tears coming out of the die.

Those of us that are demos will be able to place a small preorder in a couple days and there is a lot of excitement in our groups.  One more month and we will all be able to order. There are some fabulous new items in the new annual catalog, that's exciting, but unfortunately in order to get new stuff we have to let go of some old stuff, and that can be hard.  The Beautiful Bunch stamps set and matching Fun Flower punch are leaving us. :(
Also the Scallop thinlit die is going. I am very much going to miss all 3 items!  But I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new goodies.
Here are the colors for this week, beautiful colors by our own Peggy Noe.

Click on any of the graphics below to be taken to my store. Click here to see what the rest of the team has done with these colors.

Stampin Up, Graduation card

I have 6 grandsons, 3 of them were all born within one year. They are now starting to graduate from High School, so here come the graduation cards and gifts? Money of course. So, grandson #1. This seemed like a good idea for a male card, I hope he likes it.

An Open Sea is leaving us. Not me, just us. LOL.  I'm keeping this one, every so often it is just the right card. Besides, I do have 2 more to go.
The sentiment is from A Beautiful Ride, I'm not remembering if that carried over from the Occasions catalog, but it's staying here.

Marina Mist, Night of Navy and Smoky Slate for the world.
