Happy Monday, Mojo Monday 382

And I hope you all are having a very happy monday too.   I'm happy to be back to doing my Mojo monday sketch challenge, it's been a long while between. Last week was my first back for some time, and here I am again.
I am working on learning some water color techniques using SU product of course.  For this one I used Watercolor paper and dropped reinker onto the paper. Once it dried I took my Memento Ink pad and rubbed it over the embossing folder  and stamped it onto my background.   I don't know, what do you all think?   There is a lot of  trial and error here since I have no training in Watercolor. My mom was an artist and her all time favorites of mine were her watercolor sketches. She did them so beautifully.

I used an SAB stamp set, You Brighten my Day, if you click on any of the images below you will be taken to my store and you can check out all the SAB items as well as the main catalog and the Occasions catalog. You should also be able to download a .pdf copy if you don't have one.

To get one of the SAB items you just spend $50, for each $50 amount you choose one item from that mini catalog.  Spend $150, and get 3 SAB items and get $25 in Host dollars to spend in any current catalog as well.  That is a lot of goodies for your money.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper arts sketch challenge 237

And it is time for this weeks PPA challenge. A sketch challenge. I turned mine on end and I'm loving how it turned out.

Colors are Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.
The background paper is from the Occasions catalog, page 5, Stacked with Love. These come in 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 size. Perfect for using on cards.

The row of cut out hearts is a die cut from the Mini Treat Bag thinlits set, I cut it shorter after cutting it out.

Here is the sketch, feel free to come join us! It's not only fun, but you can stretch your creativity.

I will be posting some cute bags soon made using the new die, so come check those out.

Mojo Monday 381

Hello everyone.  I am posting a Mojo monday card! It's  a day late, but I feel good that I got it done. I am improving slowly but surely.   I am back at Curves with my Dr's blessing and gaining strength every week.

I decided to use my Groovy Love stamp set. I've had it for months and hadn't used it. I also used my Sweetheart punch and the bottom heart is a bit larger heart from the new Mini Treat Bag thinlit die set.
I think this treat bag is going to be very handy to have on hand. It has a bunch of fun items in it besides just the dies for the bag.
My class is going to be playing with this in Feb, should be a lot of fun.
The other thing I fell in love with is this embossing folder. It's the Spring Flowers folder from the new Occasions mini catalog that will be active until March 31st.  I wanted it on my pre order, but if you can believe it, it was on back order right off.  One of the reasons was a strike on the CA coast at the docks. But it's in now and I was able to order it.

I hope you enjoy, click on any of the product photos below to be taken to my store where you can check them out further.
Thanks so much for stopping by. If you don't have these catalogs, please let me know.

Or you can browse on my SU site.
Here is this weeks sketch challenge:

Stampin Up Pals Paper Arts Challenge 236

Here we are again, another PPA challenge. I love these, I find that I love to challenge myself and that I learn so much when I do and often end up with cards I may not ever have done if not for the challenge.
I was suppose to be gone right now, and given that I can't sit at my desk often or for long, I couldn't do up ahead, but my back went down and we had to come home.   I guess I just wasn't as ready as I thought, but I am improving.

So, I did vary from the sketch just a bit with the smaller Rose Red piece in the center, but after all, it's just a sketch and suppose to be a challenge.  This card features a new stamp set called Big Day. If you like it, get it now. It is a free set on the SAB (Sale a Brations) mini catalog.

Spend $50 from any active catalog and you can choose an item free from the SAB catalog. You can do that as much as you want. It's a great time to get free product and not just stamp sets.

I used the little candle stamp to add candles to the top piece, using the same color ink as the cardstock.
My colors are:  Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Pacific Point.

I sure hope this inspires you.   If you don't have catalogs, especially the new minis, Occasions and SAB, let me know and I will get them to you.

Stampin Up, Painted petals

Just a quick little card for you today. This is from the new Occasions Catalog and my favorite set out of it.  It's call Painted Petals, and the DSP (Designer series paper) at the bottom matches perfect. It's called Painted Blooms.  Lots and lots of pieces in this set.

I used Blackberry Bliss to match the color used in the paper, and Garden Green for my stems.
This is one I made for my class to do last tue.

Just click on any of the photos below to go to my site for ordering or just checking it all out.

Stampin Up, PPA challenge #235

Well, here we are again, challenge #2 for 2015.    Today we have a color challenge. For some reason my card looks pink and I have no idea why, I've worked on it and it still looks pink so we shall just have to go with that. Trust me, the front is white cardstock.

Here are our colors.

Come on along and play with us.

You will find a link on the right side of my page.

Notice that I have listed the Butterfly bundles in all three types. Wood, Clear and Photopolymer.

Stampin Up, PPA 234

Our first PPA challenge of the new year and it's a color challenge. Feel free to join in, it's fun and can help to hone your skills.  Honestly, if you want to keep getting better and learning, you have to play and play and play. The more you do the better you do.   It is honing your talent.  So, lets see what you can do!

I did a very simple card today, I used the World Map stamp and embossed in silver. Silver is very hard to take a photo of, this one isn't too bad, but it really is much nicer in person. I love this for a guy card. And it occured to me that if you do cards for Operation Write Home, this might be a really good one. And that may be exactly where this one goes. I love making cards that end up making someone's life a tiny bit better.   The military LOVE being able to send hand made cards to their friends and love ones.

Here are the colors for this week.

Hope this gives you some ideas of your own, Happy New Year!
