My little Easter basket

I wanted to give hubby a little something, but he isn't suppose to be eating a lot of sugar, so just put a few little candies in this. More important was just to give him a little something Easter.

Such a simple little basket, took just 5 min to put together.
Thanks to Penny for the instuctions! HERE.
Have fun with it, and a very HAPPY EASTER.

Masculine Thinking of You card

My FMCA chapter is really keeping me busy lately with cards. One of our members is in pretty bad shape with cancer and although I had sent cards I thought it would be nice if more people signed them. So at the rally we just came back from I had everyone sign a card and came home and made the front.
I sure hope it means a little something to him.

I used a basic Whisper White card base, then Very Vanilla, and Early Expresso. I went  a bit lighter on the Neutrals DSP pad with Soft Suede. I just didn't want to card too dark.

I used the Adorning Accent Edgelits die and the Adorning accent embossing folder, then used the Decorative Label punch and the Word window punch. The Sentiment is  from Embellished Events stamp set.

Mojo Monday 286

Todays card has a very special reason for being. A member of a group I belong to has lost her step dad.
So this card is from our whole group, and especially myself and my husband.

I loved the sketch this week, it was so easy and I was able to simplify it a bit for this card.
I used Pink Pirouette for the papers, both solid CS and the patterned paper from the Subtles Designer series paper pad, and Pretty in Pink ink for the flower.

I also used Crumb Cake and the Dots folder for the banner piece and Whisper White seam binding for the bow.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. The flower is the March Best of 25 Years Collection. Stampin UP is issuing a new set of the best of the old stamps along with one or two new stamps in each set. Collect 6 of them and you can send in the collectors cards for a free set.
You do have to buy them the month of issue, however they will all be available until March of 2014.

I stamped the flower and used one of the Labels Collection Framelits to cut it out with my Big Shot.

Here is the sketch it was based on.
Thanks for stopping by, love to hear what you think about it.

Another Fast and Fabulous 10 min card

I used this for a guy birthday, my 18yr old grandson to be exact.  If you wanted it to be a little fancier you could use a die cut shape for the cake graphic.

Fast and Fabulous 10 min card for this week

This may look like it took awhile, but it made up very quickly.
Run the red paper through the wood embossing folder, place the blue strip ( did use the distress tool on it)
Stamp and die cut, that's it.
Thanks for stopping by, hope I've given you ideas.

A little bit of grunge

I was playing around and ended up with this grungy card. I'm just wondering if this is a style many people like. It's fun to do sometimes, but not something I like all the time. Leave me a comment please and let me know. Should I do more, or give it up. LOL.

I bought the First Edition DSP, had my eye on it for some time and it kind of led the way for me.
I used Soft Suede and Very Vanilla, the French Script background stamp and the Labels Collection Framelits collection.  Sentiment is from the Best of Everything stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by and looking.

Mojo Monday 283

I just loved this sketch! It was a lot of fun to play with and mine came together so easy today.

I do have to say that I am pretty late posting mine this week. My hubby had an MRI this morning and that is always a difficult time for us.

Anyway, today I used
Colors:
Very Vanilla
Melon Mambo
Midnight Muse

Supplies:
Vintage Verses (SAB freebie) ( There is still time to get some of the great products free with your $50 order)
Best of Birthdays (25 yr anniversary stamp set, new this month)!
Boho Blossoms punch
Labels Collection Framelits
Seam binding
Rhinestone
Print Poetry Designer Series paper pad
Natural Composition Specialty paper, wood grain look.

I just love this Natural comp paper. You can actually get the glossy part to take color.
Here is the sketch, have you tried playing too?
Have a great week.

Notecards, Black and White and elegant

I just love black and white, so when I needed a gift I made up a set of elegant looking black and white cards, each, witha small pop of another color.   And it's really pretty simple to make. I used Baja Breeze for the card and ribbon, layered that with white after running it through the Big Shot using the Fancy Fan embossing folder. Cut a piece of paper from the Neutrals Designer Series paper pad and used half of a doily.
The hearts were cut out using the Hearts A Flutter die set (Stamps and die set bundle in the Spring Catty).
Then put them through machine using the Perfect polka dots folder.
