I thought I'd give a try at the PPA challenge this time. We were to use 3 specific colors. Challenges are not only fun, they can give you ways, colors ect to use that you might not have thought of.
All product is Stampin Up. I used Marina Mist, Real Red, and Summer Starfruit. Flowers are from Field Flowers and words from Curly Cute. Printed paper is from the Stubtles Paper pad, I just love the designs in the paper pads. The blue is Marina mist, it's my new favorite color, I'm a blue person anyway and this blue is gorgeous.

I did a 5" card this week, hope it helps give you ideas for your own. Here is the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.
And here is my take on it:
I used Marina Mist, a personal favorite of mine, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake. The DSP paper pack in Subtles, the dots embossing folder and the stamp set Pretty Postage for the text, Crumb Cake ribbon.
Any questions can be put in the comments, I get them all. Thanks for visiting.

New Birthday Card
Feeling really old here. My oldest daughter is having a birthday on sat, and she will be 49! I just can't be that old to have a daughter that old. I have to say tho, that she looks fantastic! I made her a really pretty necklace and earring set.
The earrings didn't get their photo taken but they are very simple. Just smaller drops like the necklace one.
Her birth stone is ruby and I couldn't afford those, but I used ruby crystals instead and I think it turned out just beautiful.
On to the card, her favorite color is pink, always has been.
I used Old Olive, Crumb cake and Regal Rose, satin ribbon and Field Flowers stamp set. The text background is the French script background stamp.
It was a quick and simple card, hope it gives you some ideas.
I have something special to upload for you to see, will try to do that tomorrow, so stop by again.

If it's Monday, it must be Mojo monday
I'm having the best time with this weekly challenge. Here is this weeks sketch:
Love this sketch, my kind of card. I used Soft Suede and So Saffron for this one. My card is a standard A2 card, 1/2 of a letter size piece of cardstock. Whisper white, then Soft Suede, printed papers are from Designer Series paper packs Neutrals and Subtles collections. I love these paper pads, beautiful designs for cards and 40 excellent quality sheets in each one.
Then I used my Big Shot and a die from the Framelits, Floral Frames collection, then stamped the Create from the Layered Labels stamp set and cut it with the Layered Labels die cut collection.
I used the Elegant Butterfly punch for my butterfly and used the smallest rhinestones from the package.
And here it is.
I hope you enjoy. Any questions, I'm happy to answer or just talk. kraftycat at gmail dot com

Pity party card
So, the Stampin Up convention is in full swing today in Salt Lake City. Those of us that were left behind, (sniff, sniff) decided to throw ourselves a pity party SU style of course.
Sadly, I was just a few miles from SLC a couple weeks ago, and I have to say from all the photos and posts from attendees, SU throws quite the party.
So here is my card for the party, green is for envy of course. LOL.
I used Gumball green ink, Wild Wasabi print paper from the DSP paper pad Subtles, Whisper White and Always Avacado paper, Language of Friendship for the quote, Postage Due stamp set, and white seam binding.

Mojo Monday 250 and Stampin Up
Another week, another Mojo Monday card. This week was a great sketch, really stretched my skill level. But I love it. Here is the sketch
Now, here is my take on it.
My card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4", I used whisper white for the base, then the dots embossing folder with Bashful Blue sponged on the dots after embossing. Paper is Bashful Blue, and Marina Mist, the heart is from the Hearts Collection Framelits, cut from Raspberry Ripple. Butterfly was stamped using the Papillon Potpourri, and cut out using the Elegant Butterfly punch in Raspberry Ripple. The yellow strip was taken from the DSP pad in Subtles colors.
And the strip with text is just a retangle with the corners rounded, the Thank You is from Perfectly Penned set, all of course from Stampin UP!
I really had a great time with this card, it was a challenge for me, both colors and sketch, I hope you like it.

Layered Labels card
I love how this card turned out. I used Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Stampin Up Dots embossing folder, Subtles DSP paper stack, scallop edge punch and the layered lables stamp and Big Shot Die set.
I embossed the front but left a space on the folded side, cut the Chocolate chip 2", then punched the edge, then measured the DSP paper so it was the size I wanted. I wrapped the ribbon over the edges of the chocolate/pink CS a bit on the ends before gluing down.
I then stamped and die cut the image, die cut again on plain white, stamped lightly on the back side and cut around the center and stamped with Wacky Wishes Thank You. Wacky Wishes is a current Hostess set.
I used glue dots in the center piece.
I hope you like it as much as I do.

Mojo Monday card # 248
My second time with an entry in the Mojo Monday challenge. I love that it pushes me to get some cards done, and it's just plain fun.
I started with Winter White cardstock, added a layer of patterned paper from the Designer Pattern paper stack in the subtles collection. Then I used Midnight Muse and ran it through the Big Shot to emboss, used a border punch on the bottom and glitter glue on the bottom.
Then a piece of Raspberry Ripple ( great, now I want Ice Cream!), more Midnight Muse and finish with Winter White. For the buttons I used the buttons sizzlet again through the Big Shot. Ribbon is seam binding.
Go HERE If you would like to place a Stampin Up order any time, or feel free to call me.
If you live in the Kingman AZ, or Bullhead City or Golden Valley area, call or write me about an upcoming open house. You'll be able to see the new catalog and and check products and cards out for yourself, we will also be doing a make it and take it.
Thanks for checking this out.

July is here and so is your patriotic wallpaper.
I had such fun using Amanda's Celebrate America kit for this months wallpaper, I hope you like it as much as I do.
Of course it also is the kit she is using for the calendar challenge at Digitals . Be sure to join in the fun, you can do any size you like. I do a 4x6 using photos of my family and every Christmas my family gets a set in their gift bag. They really do love them, more for the photos they put on their desks, then the calendar I think, but it serves the purpose.
The full sized kit is on sale for a great price this month while it's used for the challenge, and the mini kit is free when you play.
Here is what the kit looks like:
And here is the wallpaper:
Find it HERE . I hope you all have a wonderful 4th!
See you next time.

MOJO Monday card, week 244
I have decided to try out playing with Mojo monday and have a card created. This was fun, think I'll do it again.
First here is the sketch
I really liked it this week. Here is my try at it.
I used the Stampin Up Designer series paper patterns pack in subtles. I choose Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi and used some Soft Suede ink and paper.
The paper pack has a design on both sides, loved the text in this one for my card, then layered soft Suede paper, using the edge punch on the bottom of it, then inked up the embossing folder with Soft Suede and used Pretty in Pink paper. Cut my square in white and sponged the edges with Soft Suede.
I used a little stamp from Pretty Postage in the center after layering my Wild Wasabi, then white.
I was dying to use the Four Frames stamps with the matching punch and used here's to you from Friendly Phrases.
And if you would like to order any SU products, you can find my store HERE
Thanks for looking!

June calendar layout
I'm back with my calendar all done for this month. You know, at the end of the year I give the set out to all my girls for Christmas. They can't wait to see what photos mom has included. Getting those photos is quite a process, I have 2 who are just not camera people and I don't get much, even when I do find photos on FB, they haven't sent them to me.
But enough of my complaining, I love making them and Amanda makes it so easy by having a calendar challenge every month. She also gives a free mini kit out, but I like lots of choices so I usually use a combo of the free calendar mini and her full kit for that month, it's always on sale!
I liked the sides on the wallpaper so much, I did the same on the calendar, I've never done it like that before. So, here is my try.,
As you may have noticed I make them for the next year and Amanda has made that really easy with the new types of calendars she is putting in the kits, but she also puts in the standard one as well, so no worry. So, go, check out her challenge and her store. Pretty please.

June Wallpaper, at last
Amanda is calling this kit, Eco Friendly, but it's way more then that. Lots and lots of great elements and it's not shy on papers either! I am loving it, will be doing a calendar next for my yearly calendar gifty for my girls.
So, here is my preview, and I decided to put my photo in for the preview this month, usually I wait until later to do mine up. My youngest daughter and grandson.

A card share
I have a girlfriend who is also an Gemini, her birthday is the day after mine. So, I spent a couple hours today making her a card, thought I'd show it off here. Fairly simple, but a combo of cutting the doily and cups out using my Eclips (love, love, love that machine. Cuts like butter) And included some embossing and a bit of stamping, with a new glitter ribbon.
A word about the glitter ribbon, it sheds glitter, LOL, and it doesn't like the glue from the ATG gun. I had a terrible time making it stick to it.
The lace doily I do believe is one of svgcuts.com's files, there are several in this kit, all of them are darling. So, here is how it turned out.

It's time for May's wallpaper
Ok, I know I'm a bit late this month, but there are just so many more things to do then sit here sometimes. I want to be everywhere else doing everything else. I am doing some jewelry and it's taking some time and thought. I am wanting to make my daughter a very special necklace for her birthday.
So, today we have May's wallpaper made from Amanda Thorderson's Wax Nostalgic . I promise it's way prettier then the name implies.
I do my wallpaper pretty simple, I like to be able to use my desktop, put things were I want them and keep whatever wallpaper is there as long as I want. So, while I did put a month on it, there is no calendar.
However, you can get a calendar by doing the Digitals calendar challenge each month. Also, I use a neat little program called Rainlender, with an interactive calendar. It's easy to put your events in and will give you an alarm if you are like me and get lost on the computer.
For this month, the kit Wax Nostalgic is on sale also, so be sure to get there this month if you would like it.
So, without further ado, here is your wallpaper:

Vintage Garden
Karen at Snickerdoodle Designs has just been working her little fingers to the bone. Another new kit already, and a very sweet one. I couldn't help but do a layout right away. I have been missing my little girl and my grandson who moved to TX last year. So, I used a photo taken just before they left for their new home last May, that I just love and tried something new that has been showing up in my Photoshop group.
This kit is a collab, here it is:
You can check out the kit and all the beautiful extras, clusters, stacked papers ect HERE
And here is my layout.
Have a wonderful weekend, and keep your children close, even if they are adults.

Gift cards
One more thing. Another swap, this time little gift cards. Something I'd never given much thought to, but I really had fun with these. They are in the mail and should be received by my swap partner in a couple days.
So, shhhhhh, don't show them to her.

A new kit
Karen, Snickerdoodle Designs, has a new kit. Not only do I love her kits, but her prices are so good!
For some reason I just have to take photos of spring here in the desert, which means my plants. I haven't taken photos of the cactus yet and they are blooming, but my roses are gorgeous. I have a black thumb, so I don't plant stuff, but the previous owner did and loved them well, so I do keep them up and enjoy them.
Check out the kit
Find the kit and all her other goodies here:
Now, here is my layout using the kit.
I hope you'll check out the kit and while there check on some of the other kits, I happen to think she is an extraordinary designer.
So, now I'm off to a friend's to help her learn her Cricut, she's had it for months and been afraid to take it out of the box! Wish me luck.

A birthday card
One of my friends is having her 75th birthday party tomorrow, so I made her a card. It sort of suits her. Probably not the most gorgeous card I've ever done, but as I said, it suits her and I know she will love it.
I got the idea off Pinterest recently, seems like everyone is getting ideas there anymore. Love Pinterest.
So, here it is, normally what I make is very far off from my inspiration card, but that isn't the case here. It just worked up so easy.
I also recently did a card for my Art Haven group, we did a shaped card swap and I choose one of Penny Duncan's shaplie files to make my card from. I was pretty happy with it.
All the pieces except the border, were cut with my Eclips. Love that machine! It cuts like a dream no matter how involved the item is.

Your April Wallpaper
I am so sorry, I am late this month. I had it all done for you, but I have been away.
We had a great Western GM Chapter of FMCA rally. We are now proud members of Western GM Chapter. We had to wait for a bi-law change, but they did and now we are.
We stayed at the AVI Casino/resort in Laughlin/FT Mohave at the campground for several days. There was a craft show while we were there, so of course all us girls had to go check that out. It was a much better show then I expected and I saw and bought some neat stuff. One of my favorite items is a wine bottle that has been melted. It lays on it's side, the melting creates a crater down the middle of the bottle so you can use it for whatever. I got a gorgeous deep blue one with a bunch of grapes wired on.
Otherwise, we spent our time eating, visiting and of course gambling.
This months wallpaper is from Amanda Thorderson's Sunlight From Heaven and it's such a beautiful kit! I truly think you are going to love the kit and the wallpaper. Check Amanda's store and I do believe it's on sale right now too. Also be sure to check out the calendar challenge she does at Digitals.
Here is your preview
To download the wallpaper, find it HERE
As usual, I didn't put a calendar on my wallpaper, I like to enjoy mine sometimes for longer then just one month, plus you can download Rainlender and have a little interactive calendar that will always tell you the date and you can put in your appt and anything else you care to. And you can get the current calendar by doing the calendar challenge.
So, go, enjoy this wonderful spring month and have a great Easter!
