Mojo Monday 331, Hello
So here we are at another monday. Doing the Mojo Monday challenge has made my mondays have a whole new meaning. Well, retiring didn't hurt either.
Here is the sketch, I decided not to go with the heart theme. I use many of my cards, and right now I'm also saving up cards as a gift to a church that has done so much for it's community. They love hand made cards and it helps them do what they do, so I need themes that will work for them.
I can't say enough great things about the new Petite Petals bundle! I love the smaller version of the flower a lot and there are 6 cute versions of the flower to stamp and punch out.
Instead of the little banner across I decided on a ribbon, I do love ribbon and haven't been using it much lately. I like how it adds to this card.
I have been eyeing this paper from the Fresh Prints paper stack in the new Occasions catalog for some time, waiting for just the right use, it's darling and would have worked well with hearts too.
I stamped the Hello from the Four You sentiment stamp set (130538) and punched out using the decorative label punch then inked the edges a bit so it would stand out.
Colors are: Whisper White, Real Red, Coastal Cabana
Thanks for stopping by, if you click on the photos you'll be taken to my store where you can look around, get more info, and/or purchase.

Stampin Up, just a little bag
One of the fun little items we made in class the other day, was a little muslin bag. I had intended them for Christmas, but then saw they were carried over to the Occasions Mini that is live now.
Here is how they turned out.
You get 8 of these in a set, little muslin bags to dress up as you please or not. I have to say, one of my ladies used a tiny heart stamp and stamped it in Strawberry Slush instead of the gold dots I did and I loved that!
I used a small piece of the crochet ribbon and glued it down with our Multipurpose Liquid glue and slipped the gold bakers twine under it while wet and after finishing the tag I tied the twine to it.
I used a little piece of the new gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (133363)
I placed it over a piece of the Strawberry Slush leaving just a tiny bit peeking out, used a tiny piece of paper doily, then made a little banner from a piece of Gold CS with a heart from Hearts a Flutter over top and then a Rhinestone.
I think it made up a fun little bag.
Next on my list is a runner to cover the top of my badly scratched cedar chest.
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you soon. To be taken to an area to purchase the stamps, just click on the photo.

I had a little something else I thought I'd show you today. I am a big time crafter, so while I love my Stampin Up, and have more fun then my customers have at class, I do other things too. I just never know where my brain will lead me next. This time it was back in Quilting. I hadn't done any in a very long time.
For Christmas I did a lot of Mug Rugs and thought I'd show you one or two.

Stampin Up Birthday card
My 20 something yr old grandson has a birthday coming up next week so this is it. I did the base card in Marina Mist, then used the new Hardwood background stamp in Smoky Slate on Whisper White.
I used one of the Chalk Talk dies with a sentiment from Remembering your birthday, this one has a matching one for inside. I also used stamps from Gorgeous Grunge and Perfect Pennets to help grunge it up a bit
The paper for the inside of the envelop was a retired piece I had to use for things like this. I hoard my current DSP.
I used the Envelop liner framelits to cut it to size.

Stampin Up class project
We had a class yesterday and of the 3 projects this was everyone's favorite. I must say, I love it as well. Not being much of a Washi tape lover, I hadn't bought any, until Stampin Up did them in gold!
(Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape set-133000) (Occasions mini Catalog)
Wow, love it, and paired with one of the vellum papers in the new vellum DSP pack,(Fancy Foil Designer vellum-gold-133363)(Silver-133364) does it get any better. Also, if you have ever used vellum you know how hard it is to glue down without the glue showing, the Washi tape accomplished that, I simply overlapped it slightly. The hearts in the middle of the card are from the vellum paper.
I used the oval frame in the Designer Frames embossing folder, then cut around the outside edge. Stamped the sentiment (Yippee Skippee) in gold (allow to dry for a while or hit it with the heat gun to dry the ink, then cut it out using the xl oval punch.
I choose one flower from the Petite Petals bundle and stamped them using Real red CS and White embossing ink and white embossing powder, then punched. (Clear bundle-134822, Occasions mini)
I finished it off with Gold Bakers Twine (132975)

Mojo Monday 330, Happy Birthday
Today I needed a Birthday card, my oldest grandson will be the recipient. I missed it by a couple days, so hope he doesn't hold that against me, but it's going in the mailbox in just a few min.
Todays sketch called for a tall narrow card, mine is 5 1/2"x 3 3/4".
The Birthday Basics DSP (130145) brightened it up a lot and I used my envelop liner framelits to make the inside piece for the envelop to match, just adds a touch of class.
I used my Core'dinations in Baked Brown Sugar for the layer over the base Very Vanilla. I used sandpaper to get that great look. Along side that is the Birthday basics and on top of both Gumball green stitched satin ribbon. I got to use my new Hardwood stamp for the first time, love it! Look at the great groves it gives, it is just Baked brown sugar with the same color ink on top.
The sentiment is from Delightful Doz, and was cut using one of the dies from the Circle framelits. (130911), the green under it was using the 2 1/2" circle punch, it gave me a narrower green for the framing.
Here is the sketch. Come play along, it's a lot of fun.
Hope you enjoyed this one, come back and visit again soon.

Pals Paper Arts 189 Good Thoughts
Good morning! Beautiful day here in Northern AZ. This mornings card was made using the sketch at PPA.
It is open to everyone, so feel free to give it a try, you'll find it HERE
My card today started with Whisper White cardstock then a piece of the Fresh Prints paper stack layered over Coastal Cabana. If you like paper that is sized for cards and not so much scrapbooking this is the stack for you. They are 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", very usable, and double sided, love, love, love the colors on this piece.
A piece of Crumb Cake goes across with 3/8" Ruffled Stretch trim ribbon attached to the bottom. The sentiment and heart stamped on are from Perfect Pennants stamp set, a new set in the Occasions catalog. I used one of the Labels collection framelits to die cut the sentiment out and used the heart punch from the main catalog to punch a second heart. I also did a bit of inking around the die cut to make it stand out over the white.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I've given you a bit of inspiration.

Mojo Monday 329, Stampin Up Thanks
There is a story behind this card. I've been away, we went to Quartzsite AZ for a rally and as we usually do we spent several extra days. But on the wed night before the rally started on thursday, I came down with the flu, spent the whole day in bed.
While I was sleeping life away a group of my friends found a fabric store going out of business and selling out at very cheap prices. Sweetly, knowing I'd be upset at missing out, one of them picked up a few things for me. So, a huge thank you is in order for Pat.
I don't usually use two strong colors together like this, but there is an exception for everything, right? To be able to use what I wanted it just had to be.
Colors used are: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Calypso Coral
Supplies: Labels Collection Framelit dies (125598), Yippee-Skippee sentiment set, Candy dots,
(Love those candy dots!), Edgelits Large Scallop die (127019), Chevron Ribbon. And the new decorative dots embossing folder. I just love how the dots appear random.
So sorry I have been unable to post for such a long stretch, but I am back. Hope I have managed to inspire you a little bit.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge 187
Time for another PPA challenge. Please feel free to join in. They start every thursday, 2 color challenges then 2 sketch challenges. Always fun.
Here are todays colors:
Easy and fun colors.
I also used the new Scallops embossing folder (132971) from the new Occasions mini catalog, on just one part of the real red, I love this new folder!
On the other side I made myself a banner using one of the prints in the Fresh Prints DSP stack, (132996) these are the smaller stacks, 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", so very usable for cards. Also in the Occasions catalog.
I stamped the sentiment, Happy Watercolor stamp set, also from the new Occasions Catalog on Whisper White CS, then cut using my Ovals Collection Framelits (129381), and cut the next size up from Real read to put under it.
That's it! Simple and pretty clean, but very cute.
IF you would like to browse the .pdf version of the catalog or place an order, or find out what else is going on in SU land, please go HERE
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Mojo Monday 327, Stampin Up
Good morning, I'm a bit late this week, but I got here. I have company, so this will be short and sweet.
Some new products here from the Occasions catalog. (132996) I am really loving the Fresh Prints DSP. This is the card sized version, 4 1/2" x 6 1/5". So very usable for cards and smaller things.
I picked the colors out of the DSP, Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.
The Heart image is Language of Love, from the new Occasions catalog.
The sentiment is from Really good greetings, such fun sentiments in that set.
I also used a new embossing folder, you are getting a sneak peek at the Decorative Dots embossing folder. A free choice in the SAB brochure. It goes live on Jan 28th! For each $50 you spend in a current catalog, you can choose one item from the SAB.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week.

Pals Paper Arts 186
Happy New Year everyone! My first post of the year is the first PPA challenge for 2014, and it comes with lots of bling! I'm pretty sure it's going to be hubbys Valentines card.
I'm not a huge Washi tape fan and had avoided buying any up till now, but the Watercolor Wonder gold washi tapes were just too hard to resist!
The colors of this challenge are Island Indigo, Gold, and Whisper White. I have both the gold Washi Tape and a heart cut from our Brushed Gold card stock. (102935) It has a gorgeous shimmer, it doesn't show well online unfortunately, but take my word for it, it's gorgeous.
I also tossed in my sentiment done in Gold Metallic Encore ink then I used gold embossing powder.
My card started with a piece of SU paper Doily and built up from there. I finished off with some rhinestones, they also never show well, but they sure glimmer in person.
I used two stamp sets, Hearts a Flutter and for the sentiment, Delightful Dozen. I cut the hearts out using the Hearts a Flutter die cuts.
Here are the Delightful Dozen sentiments:
Thanks for stopping by today, hope I've given you some inspiration.

Mojo Monday 326
Hello to all of you today! Are you as burned out on Christmas cards as I am? I love doing them, but by the time Christmas is over, I'm so done with it. But, it's hard to move on, LOL. So, I just got this Four You sentiment set and decided to use it for todays Mojo Monday card.
I also dug out a DSP pack I haven't used in quite a while, Venetian Romance, it's got some great papers!
I started with Baked Brown Sugar, my new Incolors have been getting neglected. I choose the pretty Pistacio Pudding text paper from the pack of DSP for my first layer, then used the Baked Brown Sugar CoreDnations for some nice texture. I love a bit of shabby and I think this works well. I used a retired piece of ribbon (sorry about that) as it's all I had in the Tangerine Tango, then layed over that another pretty piece from the DSP pack after cutting one edge with the wavy wheel on my Rotary attachment for my Trimmer.
BTW, that new Rotary attachment and the extra wheel cartridges are a great way to make a quick edge. I was worried about having to switch out the blades, they are so sharp it's not ever my favorite thing to do, but these are in little cartridges and you just slide one out and slide the other in, your fingers never get close to the blade, I love that!
I hope you enjoyed my little Hello card today, have a wonderful Mojo week! Here is this weeks sketch.
And here is the sentiment set I used.

Pals Paper Arts 185
Well! I really have been away from my blog for a long time. I just got slammed by Christmas and then a little burned out. But I'm feeling better now and just had to play with this sketch. It's simple, but there are so many ways to use it. The staff has done a fantastic job with it. You really do need to stop by and see all the fabulous cards they have created.
Here is the sketch.

Just click the link on the right side bar and join in the fun.
There is a little sneak peek in this card, the Watercolor Wonder paper. It's really soft and pretty. But I love watercolor so it spoke to me. It's in the new Occasions catalog which will be live on Jan 3.
I used Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, and Whisper White.
Products in this card include, Watercolor Wonder DSP (132994)
Silver Foil
Silver Ribbon
Label Love Stamp set and punch
Rhinestones
I'll try to post more often now that the holidays are over, at least until my surgery in Jan, then I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to get back to playing with paper and ink, not too long I hope.
Thanks for stopping by and if you are so inclined and would like to purchase from me, or just download current catalogs, or do some window shopping and see current promotions, go

Stampin Up Last min Christmas card
Embossing folders are my favorite quick ways to dress up any card. I used Beautifully Baroque embossing folder and Real Red for both the base card and the embossed layer. I ran Whisper White ink using my brayer over the embossed piece to bring out the embossing.
I then layered a white deco framelit with the sentiment stamped on it from Christmas messages, over a Real Red deco framelit piece and attached to the card. I wrapped and tied a piece of Organza ribbon around the embossed piece before attaching to the card base, and that is it.
Hope you enjoy, and have a Merry Christmas.

Mojo Monday 324, Sneak Peek 2014 SAB
I fell in love with this sketch the minute I saw it. And since I have most of my Christmas cards done and ready to go out, but am short a couple, that decided the theme for it as well.
Don't you just love those little banners? They come in a set and there is a little banner punch as well.
Both the banner punch and Banner Blast stamp set and freebies in this years SAB sale. It doesn't start until Jan 28th so you have a wait, but such cool items for free. If you don't know how this sale works, well, you buy $50 in product in any current catalog and you get to choose one free item in the SAB catalog. You can get as many as you like, just spend the $50 for each choice.
So, I only used a couple colors, Whisper White, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.
Banner Blast stamp set
Banner punch
Sweet Essentials stamp set for the sentiment
Festive Flurries stamp and dies
Gold Twine, in the Occasions mini catalog, it starts Jan 3rd.
Silver Glimmer paper.
I hope you have enjoyed this little peek at the coming goodies.

Pals Paper Arts 183
Todays share is from the PPA 183 challenge. Colors in the challenge are Rose Red, Whisper White and Wild Wasabi.
I have been dying to use the brand new embossing folder, it's todays sneak peek from the new Occasions mini Catalog. Love, love, love it.
Card base is Whisper white, then a Rose red layer, the top and bottom edges were cut using one of the new rotary trimmer wheels for the Stampin Trimmer. These kind of little cuts just add so much to a card.
On top of that is the scallops embossing folder in white.
Then the sentiment from Wishing You and the tiny gift box from that same set cut using one of the Apothecary Accents dies, with Rose red oval from the Oval Framelits under it and 2 rose red candy dots on the side.
I recolored a Very Vanilla Seam binding ribbon to go around.
I hope you enjoyed, just leave a comment if you want to ask a question and I'll be happy to answer within the comments section. Blogger doesn't give me an email address to use for anyone.
Merry Christmas.

Mojo Monday 323 and Sneak Peek Occasions 2013
I decided to make my card a Thank you card, we all need those this time of year. Here is a sneak peek at some new product in the Occasions catalog. Ordering doesn't start for this one until Jan 3rd.
But I am loving all the watercolor product in there, this back ground paper is Watercolor Wonder DSP, also you are seeing one of the So Very Grateful images. I have so many ideas for this one.
I also used the gold twine, wow, it's gorgeous. It does not show well, but it's thicker then the other twine and the gold is very shiny.
There is a Green candy dot holding the Thank you on, if you haven't seen candy dots, you are missing out. They look like brads, but no brad, and they have adhesive on the back side and stick great and are easy to get off the backing.
Here is the sketch for todays card.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful week.
