Pals Paper Arts 186

Happy New Year everyone! My first post of the year is the first PPA challenge for 2014, and it comes with lots of bling!  I'm pretty sure it's going to be hubbys Valentines card.

I'm not a huge Washi tape fan and had avoided buying any up till now, but the Watercolor Wonder gold washi tapes were just too hard to resist!
The colors of this challenge are Island Indigo, Gold, and Whisper White.  I have both the gold Washi Tape and a heart cut from our Brushed Gold card stock. (102935)  It has a gorgeous shimmer, it doesn't show well online unfortunately, but take my word for it, it's gorgeous.
I also tossed in my sentiment done in Gold Metallic Encore ink then I used gold embossing powder.

My card started with a piece of SU paper Doily and built up from there. I finished off with some rhinestones, they also never show well, but they sure glimmer in person.
I used two stamp sets, Hearts a Flutter and for the sentiment, Delightful Dozen. I cut the hearts out using the Hearts a Flutter die cuts.

Here are the Delightful Dozen sentiments:

Thanks for stopping by today, hope I've given you some inspiration.

I love, love, love your card Lynn! I have the same thoughts about the washi tape, but had about the same reaction as you when I saw the gold stuff in the new catalog. I haven't purchased it yet, but after seeing your card they are going to the top of my next buy list! I adore the way you incorporated the doily. Just fabulous!!!
