Stampin Up, 10 min card, week one

Welcome, it's a celebration of my ability to get back to doing my 10 minute cards again. I will be attempting to put one a week up.  I'm not sure what day it will end up being, maybe not the same one each week, but for now, today will do.

Anyone get the magazine Stamper Sampler? I used to love those, haven't gotten one in years tho. There were a lot of Stampin Up cards in those.  Back when it first started up, we didn't have all that much to play with except stamps.

I'm cleaning up my craft rooms and hundreds of magazines are going, including all of those. I pulled out a 2004 edition and CASEd this. Love it, of course I used different product, but the idea is the same.   I hope you enjoy.

Fast and Fabulous 10 min card for July 31

I have a great one for you today. My upline issued a challenge to all of us in her downline last weekend.   We created and posted Clean and Simple cards all weekend and the winner by random number got a prize.
This is one of the ones I did and I fell in love with it.

I wish the colors showed better. The Wisteria Wonder looks so awesome with the Pool Party. Turquoise and lavender/purple is a great pair.
I only used one stamp set, Polka-Dot Pieces.  The butterfly in this set works with the Elegant Butterfly punch, then I added a couple of pearls just because.

Also, the bird uses the Bird Builder punch.
So I have a question for you.  Do you prefer just one stamp set for my 10 min cards? Does that make it easier?   Please leave me a comment and let me know.

Fast and Fabulous 10 min card, a day late.

I am so sorry I'm a day late, yesterday just wizzed by and I have several cards for make for Birthdays and thank you's, plus I am trying to get my act together and go through all my roller drawers getting rid of anything I haven't used in years. That's a tough one for me, I moved it all 3 yrs ago without going through it. And I really hate parting with any of it.
Anyway, todays card is pretty simple. I think I'd actually like a larger flowers or just longer stem on this, but
I didn't have one to try. I do love this sentiment from the You are Loved stamp set, Big catalog, pg 24.

Fast and Fabulous 10 minute cards

I have decided it would be fun to post some pretty, neat cards all done in 10 minutes or less.  I'll be doing them on Wed's.

I got to thinking that some of you might want to spend a couple extra min and add to the card, so I thought I'd give you some ideas on doing just that.   I have made a second card with a couple changes:

 I added a scallop circle out of Soft Suede which goes so well with Crumb Cake.  I also cut my patterned paper at 1 1/4 inches, and cut a piece of Baja Breeze CS 1 3/4 inches, then cut the edge with the scallop edge punch. This punch uses 1/4 inch of the paper after cutting. I added a piece of soft suede ribbon over the pattern paper tucking the ends behind it. Glue them down and then glue the paper to the CS.  
Also, I used rhinestones instead of the pearls. Not that it's better, but so you could get an idea of how they work. I love the rhinestones and pearls, such an easy way to make it elegant. 
Tip working with rhinestones and pearls. The glue holds them to the waxed card, use a twizzer and push down hard while pulling away to keep the glue attached to the pearl or rhinestone.
