Celebrate_Paper Players color challenge#344

It's Mothers day today. I live too far to have been with my girls today, but they have all checked in this weekend, sent gifts and called and texted.  So, I'm good. Instead I decided to play with the Paper Players today. What a fun color challenge. Bright, bold colors, the red threw me, but I think I pulled it off.

I used Swirly Bird stamps and Swirly Scribbles dies, and could have just stuck with that set, but I am in love with the cute little 2 stamp roses in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set from the new Annual catalog so I used them.  So simple, no coloring required.  I simply stamped off after inking up the background until it was light enough then stamped on my paper.  Then inked up the top stamp and stamped that on top.

I used watercolor paper, watercolored the background, but sponged the die cuts, and used my trimmer with the rotary adaptor and wavy blade for the edges.  I'm sorry to say that adaptor is retired, but sometimes that tiny edge is just the thing.

So, here is the color challenge, click on the text to go see what everyone has done.

I hope your Mother's day was everything you could ask for.
