Just a Note, GDP076
Welcome! It's a dark, rainy day here in N AZ. Not all that normal for here, but we have sure had way more then usual this winter. My husband was in town today and it snowed there. Kingman is just a little higher then we are as we live down in a valley. A great day for crafting!
So, here is my card for the Global Design Project for this week. It made up just a bit too quick actually. So simple to do. The DSP that I used is retired, but there is a newer version called Irresistible Floral specialty DSP, and it's even prettier then this with lots of patters and a gorgeous swirly pattern. I thought I had some, but seems I have not ordered it yet so it's on my list for this week.
It is so easy to make whatever color you want to use into a gorgeous card. You simply sponge color on from your ink pad. I used Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach and Pear Pizzazz. The design doesn't take the color. I used Esspreso for my little dark color under my leaves.
The idea this week is to CASE a designer. Kylie has given us a gorgeous card to CASE. Here is this weeks: If you would like to play or just see all the pretty cards, they are here.
I hope you give it a try. Have a great week. Simply click on the graphic and you will be taken to my store where you can check things out better.

Blossoms perfect day, Freshly Made Sketches #276
I'm seeing a lot of cards that appear to be a wish for spring. So that is also what I did for this weeks FMS. I haven't used the Bunch of Blossoms stamps and punch for a long time. Seems like the Annual catalog just gets here and it's time for the Holiday catalog.
Here is the sketch, maybe you would like to come have some fun.
I know it looks like there isn't much to the set, but this is just one tiny part of it. You can stamp and do your own watercoloring, or you can use the 2 or 3 stamp technique to make it look watercolored. I took the easy way out and just use the 3 stamps starting with Pink Pirouette, then Blushing Bride and finally for the outline Melon Mombo. Plus there are still a bunch of different stamps.
The images below will take you to my store if you'd like to look around or purchase.

GDP075 card challenge, Just for You
Good morning from the gray, dark skies of North AZ. Been like this for several days, for sure not our usual winter.
I loved the theme for the GDP challenge for this week:
How fun, right? So much to choose from. I decided not to use any of the newer sets, and went back to my Bold Butterfly and Butterfly thinlits.
On top of my solid butterfly, I have a vellum detailed butterfly. I love using vellum. I also used another favorite set, Swirly Scribbles, oh gosh, so much you can do with that! I took the long piece and laid it on my paper and used a brush to brush a little color from my ink pad, very gently.
So, colors for this are: Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay, So Saffron and Whisper White.
You will find the product listed below, just click on any one of the images and you will be take to my store. There you can purchase, but also just look around, just because you go there doesn't mean you will end up with a bill. LOL
Listed below are the products.

Thinking of You, Mojomonday484
I have a customer, now also a friend who makes beautiful things. But she says she has trouble "thinking outside the box". In her case, she means using more then one stamp set or stamp die set on any given project.
I on the other hand will look for what suits my project best and can end up using 3, 4 or more sets. I do try not to do too much of that, as I think it's frustrating for anyone reading my blog if they want to make said project and it looks like they will have to purchase too many things to do so.
Sorry to say, this is one of those cards. I used two sets that have been around for some time. PPetite Petals and Flower shop, each has a punch that goes with.
TIP: Flower Shop can be a problem punching out if something has not been pointed out to you. It needs to be in the punch only one way. If you look at the flower and then at the punch, there is one petal that has almost 3 kind of lumps on it. On my card tha petal is top left, see the little piece that sticks out on the side of that petal? It's the only one like that.
The DSP is part of Blooms and Bliss. As yet I don't have the stamp set, but I fell in love with this DSP!
I hope you enjoy and I am able to give you some inspiration. Here is the link and sketch for Mojomonday this week.

Happiest of Birthdays, FMS#274
This DSP has been in my mind since I first got it way back in June when the catalog came out. It's way different then what I normally use and it's been sitting there challenging me to use it. So, today I did. It's from the Festive Birthday DSP set.
I choose to use the Tempting Turquoise as my "color" for accenting. I love that color, it's the trim on my home. Ask me and I'll put in the comments what color my front door is. :)
Whisper White thick CS as my base, then the DSP. I just cut eht white box out first, stamped my sentiment and little graphic on it, but the design at the bottom using the Florish thinlits, then added the piece of turquoise just a tiny bit larger. I just think when using white in this fashion, it looks better layered. Cut another of the Florish framelit in white for the side. And that is it!
So, here is the challenge:
I had fun making it, I hope you had fun looking.

Butterfly Thinking of you card. GDP073
The GDP challenge for this week is a color challenge. Pretty springy colors, bet you are all ready for spring, I know I am. Also, I see that Bibi Cameron is leaving the team for now at least. It's a fantastic team, but Bibi will be missed.
But they do have 2 team member who made the Stampin Up Artisian team list this year. Wow, 2 from the same challenge. Paula Dobson and Louise Sharp, be sure to check out their cards and maybe congratulate them.
I have used 2 new products on this card. The yellow border is from Delicate Details in the SAB brochure. That is a free set you can choose with a $50 or larger order from any current catalog. I'm seeing so many adorable cards made using that set.
the ribbon is one of a set of 2, one silver and one gold metallic ribbon in the set, also a choice for free in the SAB brochure. It's gorgeous ribbon! I love when SU gives us 2 or 3 different ribbon colors in one set.
So, here are the colors for this week:
I hadn't used my butterflies in a while and they are so pretty with the leaves from the Florish Thinlits.

Thinking of you
This card went out to friends who are going though some very bad stuff. Sometimes it's all you can do is let those people close to you that you are thinking of them and care.
I used the Wetlands stamp set. I made my water using the Aqua brush on watercolor paper, picking up color from the ink pad. Marina Mist in this case.
I used Crumb cake for my brush at the side and to sponge color on included the edges of the watercolor paper. I know it's not everyone's thing, but I really enjoy doing cards like this.
We have had an unusual stretch of cold here in AZ, still pretty chilly at night, but it seems to be getting warmer during the day. I am in hopes that our normal couple of weeks of gorgeous, warm weather in Feb will be starting soon. Then we have very cold harsh winds possible through March and april. But I am in no hurry to get on to summer.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
