Friends Like Us, Just Add Ink challenge 352

I'm trying out a new to me card challenge site, Just Add Ink.  Cute name, loved the colors and was dying to use some new stuff.

I had such a good time with this, love that little kitty, just my style.  I like whimsical cats and ones who show off their personality.  This little guy covers both I think.
Here are the colors, and you can find them HERE

Thanks so much for coming by.

Products: SU, Gorgeous Grunge, Lace doilies, Petite Petals stamps, Petite Petals punch.  Waffle Flower Flora Cat Play stamps.

Thinking of You, Mojomonday484

I have a customer, now also a friend who makes beautiful things.  But she says she has trouble "thinking outside the box".  In her case, she means using more then one stamp set or stamp die set on any given project.
I on the other hand will look for what suits my project best and can end up using 3, 4 or more sets.  I do try not to do too much of that, as I think it's frustrating for anyone reading my blog if they want to make said project and  it looks like they will have to purchase too many things to do so.

Sorry to say, this is one of those cards.  I used two sets that have been around for some time.  PPetite Petals and Flower shop, each has a punch that goes with.

TIP:  Flower Shop can be a problem punching out if something has not been pointed out to you.  It needs to be in the punch only one way.  If you look at the flower and then at the punch, there is one petal that has almost 3 kind of lumps on it.  On my card tha petal is top left, see the little piece that sticks out on the side of that petal? It's the only one like that.

The DSP is part of Blooms and Bliss.  As yet I don't have the stamp set, but I fell in love with this DSP!

I hope you enjoy and I am able to give you some inspiration.  Here is the link and sketch for Mojomonday this week.

Stampin Up and a brand new challenge

One if the PAL's, that's my Stampin Up group, became involved in a brand new challenge site. He asked the rest of us if we would like to post this week.  This is my card.  It was a color challenge,
I'm not sure if it will always be or if they will do some other types but it should be fun to see.

The DSP (Designer Series Paper) here, is my very favorite in this years catalog.  It's called Timless Elegance and has stunning designs. This piece just fit perfect into my idea for this card.

The piece I've chosen I love because of it's small pattern, I've colored in the flowers in the So Saffron from the challenge colors which are: Go HERE  to see the challenge site, there are SU demo's from around the world posting there.

I hope I have inspired you a bit with my card, thanks so much for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pal's Paper Arts Challenge # 260

Today PPA has a sketch challenge.   When I was planning out the card, I decided I wanted to use some of the awesome product I got from Lisa Pretto, one of the perks of having awesome uplines.

I also used my new stamp set from the Watercolor Wishes kit.  The stamps are not sold separate for this one kit and it's an awesome sentiment set.   There are also lots and lots of pretties in this set, and comes completely with pretty much everything you would need including envelops.

My envelop here is using the new envelop paper in the new catalog. This is the new incolors pack and there is also a neutrals pack, it's lighter weight and really works great for envelops.

I used a combination of Floral Framelits and punches to get my flower, so go wild, just try a bunch of punches and/or framelits you have.

If you have any questions just ask in the comments section. I have no way to reply to you personally unless you leave me contact info or send an email.  So, if you don't do that, check back for your answer in the comment section.
The center of my flower is one of the new  White Perfect Accents, I colored mine.  A small button would have looked awesome as well.

I used Hello Honey, Night of Navy, Whisper White and Blushing Bride.  The patterned paper is English Garden.   My personal opinion is that it is one of the most beautiful paper sets SU has given us ever. The colors I used were drawn from that paper.

Stampin UP, Mojo monday 398 and Paper Players 245

Once again two challenges came together perfectly! Well almost perfectly, Paper Players was a challenge to do a girly card clean and simple. I don't think I met the simple part, but I am loving it. I used the sketch at Mojo Monday for the card, looks very close to the sketch and very girly I think.

So, did I manage both? You tell me.  I am so going to miss this paper, it's from the Occasions catalog, Something Borrowed DSP, you have until June 2nd to order it, so if you love it like I do, get it soon.

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:
I love this sketch! I may have to do it again.
Here is the link to Paper Players.
I know they would both love to have you join in.

Mojo Monday 339, A Stampin Up Birthday SAB card

I decided to use my Gingham Garden DSP as I hadn't used it for quite a while. It was the very first DSP I bought this year.  I was lucky enough to go to a Home Office Regional last spring. As far as I know it was the one and only time they did that. And wow was it special.  At the end of the day we got a new catalog and we got to shop!  No one else had been able to see the catalog and still wouldn't for a few days.  We really felt special and that is a special memory. Also when I met Shannon from my group, we drove up together and shared a room, so a very special weekend all in all.

Ok, on with the card.  Daffodil Delight for the first layer and embossed using the Honeycomb folder, layered the 2 pieces of Gingham Garden then used one of the SAB stamp sets for the sentiment.  It's called See Ya Later, and what a fun set it is! If you think you'd like it today is the very last day to order. Just place a $50 order from any product current and choose it as your freebie from the SAB catty.

I used the Ovals Framelit collection for the sentiment and background for it.

The flower is made using the 1 1/4"scallop circle punch, the Petite Petals punch and the 1/2" round punch with a candy dot on top.   The other side has a butterfly made using the Bitty Butterfly punch.

That's about it, not hard at all and of course you can substitute what you have.  Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by.
