Stampin Up, Mojo Monday #404

And, it's another Mojo Monday! It's tall and skinny week, however I was too lazy to make my envelope, so I just started my card cutting my CS the long way at 4 1/4", scoring at 5 1/2".

The background is from the 6x6" paper stack Pretty Petals, I love this size, it's so usable for cards, the patterns are smaller as well as the paper.  The Tin of cards stamp set provided the sentiment, I love these, they are such a nice size and love the font!

The center piece running down is the back side of the butterfly piece, and it's Calypso Coral. Somehow after stamping the sentiment I love my ink pad, any one want to come help me hunt??????  I just can't believe I lost an ink pad, it's a first for that!

Colors, Mint Macaron, Calypso Coral, and Black.
That tiny little butterfly is from Butterfly Basics and uses the Bitty butterfly punch.
I also used the 2" and 2 3/8" round punches, the larger is the scallop round.

Thanks for stopping, have a great day.

One more thing. Starting tomorrow, June 30th and going until Aug 3rd. SU is putting even more items on the clearance rack AND adding more to the weekly deals at a deeper discount. Click on any image in below to be taken to my store.

Stampin Up, June class project

I thought that today I would post one of my class projects, I don't do that very often and I should. This card is one of the reasons I love this set so much. It's Butterfly Basics, page 124 in the new catalog, or you can find it on my Stampin Up site here:

It's really a pretty simple card, but it doesn't look at that. I started with the fern and butterfly in white. They are white embossed, then sponge on the colors, then add the rest over the top.  You'll notice a bit of the honey comb stamp on the left and a couple of blue butterflies along with the flower in blue.

I hope you give this technique a try and enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge #257

It's another PPA challenge, Woo Hoo!  Fun stuff here especially with all the new goodies in the new catalog. This set is called Circle of Spring, and if you got the Wonderous Wreath framelits from the last Holiday catalog, you are half way there.   This set uses the same set of framelits.  Made me a happy girl.

The DSP is a new one, and it looks like a fav of everyone, English Garden. Gorgeous papers!

I used Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.
Here is the sketch for this week:
Come on over and play along.

Stampin Up, Freshly Made Sketches #191

Hello, and I hope summer is going well for you. I know many areas of the country are suffering with horrible weather, so good thoughts going out your way that you are all good.

I am trying a challenge I have only done a time or two before today. I've kind of been hopping around just doing any challenge that interests me.  This one is really neat.

I used Lost Lagoon, Mint Macraron, Blackberry Bliss and Black StazOn ink.
A note on the StazOn ink, it's permanent ink, make sure you have the StazOn ink cleaner, otherwise you will forever have black stamps.  Also, just rub the cleaner on without water first, clean with a paper towel, then wash.

You would never know that I stamped off onto my paper with the blackberry bliss before stamping on my watercolor paper, it's still pretty dark, just take note of that. I used a brush to brush on a little water just where I wanted it before stamping, you can also use a small brush to spread out the color if it has blank spots.

Love, love, love the Watercolor words!

Have an awesome day, and thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge #256

It time for another Pals Paper Arts challenge, we post a new one every thursday, 4 weeks out of the month, there is none if there is a 5th week.

So, here is the sketch:
And you see what came out of my head!  I'm sorry, I'm not responsible for what my brain does. LOL

I used Blackberry Bliss, (just painted my front door that color, the Sherwin Williams place did a fab job of matching the color). So Saffron, my fav yellow, and Whisper White.

I used two different sentiments, one for the tone on tone base card and one for the sentiment across the candles.  And Many More and Crazy About You are what I reach for the most.

Hope you enjoy and get some ideas of your own.   Thank for stopping in.

Stampin Up, Paper Players #249. Friends

Is everyone enjoying summer?   Around here, in N AZ the temps are over 100 already and won't come down much if any for about 4 months.  It's the time to either leave and go sit on the coast, or stay inside with the A/C.

I can't afford to go sit on the coast, so staying inside and playing with paper is my choice.
Today is a color challenge from Paper Players.

I had a lot of fun with this new set of Photopolymer stamps.  You can bend the stem anyway you want to get the desired effect, so you could have a whole surface of flowers all in different directions.
Have you ever had a stamp and wished it went in both directions? This is it.

It's a 2 step stamp set, but you don't have to do it that way, lots of choices here. I think this just might be my favorite of the new sets.

Thanks for stopping, hope I have given you some ideas.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts #255

Welcome.   Today's PPA challenge is a color challenge:

I do love blues and browns together, it's a great color combo for a guy card, but I just had to use flowers, right?   That piece you see in the center is from the new 12x12 DSP Neutrals Stack.  They have been all redone for this year and the patterns are fab.
Also, instead of White and Very Vanilla in this stack they have put Gold and Silver, it just doesn't get any better then that!

Very simple card, I hope you enjoy and it gives you some ideas of your own.  But hey, feel free to CASE, in SU talk that is Copy and Share Everything.
