Fast and Fabulous Stampin Up card for Wed, Aug 28.

Welcome to 10 min Fast and Fabulous Wed!
Here is your card for today. Nice and clean and simple.
I used Whisper White for my card base, then Pear Pizzazz, and another layer of Whisper White.
That alone gave this card some  style.

Then I used Happy Day stamp set for the larger doily and Delicate Doilies for the smaller ones.
Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe.

Stamp the sentiment, Itty Bitty Banners, cut out using the Bitty Banners die and adhire using Stampin Dimentials. That is all there is to it.

Paper Players 160

Today we are playing with the Paper Players. Fun and very different sketch challenge.

I used the Tea Party stamp set. I've been looking to use the doily strip and this worked out great.
I also used a little piece of one of the Venetian Romance papers and even if that ribbon looks black, it's Espresso.  After I stamped my tag out I glued it to a small piece of Baked Brown sugar and used my trimmer to trim the edges to match.

Colors:
Very Vanilla
Calypso Coral
Baked Brown Sugar

Supplies:
Tea Party Stamp set
Photopolymer stamp set 1
Here is the sketch for this week.

These clear stamps are great, I didn't get one stamped just right and was able to see right through the stamp itself to reposition it.   Check out all the Photopolymer sets.

Thanks for stopping by, hope I was able to inspire you some.

Mojo Monday 308

Good Mojo Monday to you.  I'm here with my card, a square one this week.

I absolutely love this paper, isn't it gorgeous? It's from the Eastern Elegance DSP pack. There are so many really pretty papers in this pack.

You know how square cards have the problem of envelops? Seems like square envelops are hard to come by, and when I do find them they are not so good quality wise, certainly nothing like the beautiful smooth paper SU envelops are made from.

Well, I have the solution. SU is now selling, starting on the 1st of Sept, an envelop maker, it makes pretty much any size and it's so easy to use. I just don't believe people when they tell me that, so I had to give it a try and they are right, it's super easy to use. Punch, score, turn.  So, my pretty square card has it's own matching envy.

Colors:
Whisper White
Coastal Cabana
Smoky Slate
Crushed Curry

Supplies:
Harvest of Thanks stamp set (Holiday catalog)
Framelit Ovals Collection (129381)
Eastern Elegance DSP Pack  (130131)
Finishing Touches Edgelits (127010)
Chevron Ribbon

And here is todays sketch, it was a great one this week, don't you think?
Why don't you give it a try and join us?

Thanks so much for stopping by, and if you should want to place an order (remember the envy maker isn't available until Sept 1st.)  Go HERE.

Inspiration, A Stampin Up card

This card was made using inspiration I found from a couple sources. One being a cute little bag posted on Pinterest using the new Bike stamp in the My Paper Pumpking box for this month.

The little bag had white smudged on and possibly embossed, I choose to use an embossing folder and one of the grunge stamps from Gorgeous Grunge. I inked the stamp and stamped off on my paper first so it wasn't so dark. The sentiment stamp and the bike were both stamps in the kit. As were the little sticky banner shapes at the bottom.
Cutting around the bike was not so easy, but I got it done.

Colors:
Smoky Slate
Bermuda Bay
Calypso Coral
Rose Red
Supplies:
Stamps and triangle banners from the Aug 2013 My Paper Pumpkin.
Gorgeous Grunge stamp set
Neutrals DSP paper stack   130132

Is this kind of card of interest to you? Would you like to see more, or would you prefer more clean and simple cards?  Let me know please.
Thanks for stopping by.

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge 169

It's a Strawberry Slush Christmas!  LOL.  I haven't got any Christmas paper yet, and this sketch just begged me to use one of the Ornament Keepsakes stamps from last years Holiday Catalog. They can still be purchased as a carry over as well as the matching framelits.

Also, I only have so far, the DSP pads for neutrals and the new Incolors, so incolors it was. I like it!

Strawberry slush polka dot paper with Basic Gray and Smoky Gray.  I used my Stamp a ma jig to stamp using Strawberry Slush ink, then cleaned my stamp and stamped over that using the Versa Mark pad and clear embossing powder.  The rest is pretty straight forward.

Colors:
Strawberry Slush
Basic Gray
Smoky Slate
Black

Supplies:
Delightful Doz stamp set for the sentiment, embossed.
Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and matching die cuts
Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon
Incolor DSP paper pad
Clear embossing powder
Versa Mark pad

Paper Players 159 and Weds 10 Min card

I decided to combine todays 10 min fast and fabulous card with the challenge from Paper Players. The challenge was to make a One layer card.  With all the goodies available to us today, that is food for thought.
I started with Baked Brown Sugar from the new Incolors.  The new Stampin Chalk Marker (132133) Holiday Catalog,  did a great job of the edges in combo with the Paper Piercing Essentials pack. The template even has rounded corners that match a corner rounder.

I stamped my sentiment, from the Timless Talk stamp set, and found a perfect paper piercing template to go around.

The flowers from Too Kind are a two stamping set.  The stems stamp together, then you use the more undefined stamp for the base flower, then the darker color in the more defined stamp. I used Blushing Bride for my base and Primrose Petals for the top color.  Stems are Old Olive.

If you would like to play along, here is the challenge. Paper Players

And if you would like to place an order, you can do that HERE.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by, and I'd love to hear what you think about my cards and if you would like to see something different.

Mojo Monday 307, Stampin UP Gratitude

Good morning.  It a  hot, humid morning here in the AZ desert. We had quite the round of storms go through last night. They went on for hours, lightening coming from several directions. It was quite the show, we turned out the lights and just watched through the french doors.

This weeks sketch is really different and was a challenge and fun.  Another one I'll put in the OWH box when I send it this week.
I started out thinking black and white with a pop of red, but changed my mind. I don't use fall colors enough, they just are not my favorite, but I love how this came out. Sometimes it really works out to challenge yourself to get outside your comfort zone.

Colors:
Very Vanilla
Tangerine Tango
Soft Suede

Supplies:
Harvest of Thanks Stamp set (from the Holiday Catalog)
Venetian Romance DSP  130144
Bitty Banners Framelits 129267
Deco Labels Framelits   130102
Early Expresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon 119959

And here is this weeks sketch, go ahead, give it a try.
Fall is fast approaching, and I can't wait for the cooler weather, meanwhile I'll just keep making cards that send my thoughts that way.
Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear what you think, are fall colors favorites of yours? Or?

Pals Paper Arts Color challenge #167

Another PPA color challenge today.  The colors are, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pistachio Pudding. 3 of the new incolors that are super popular.  All 5 colors are just gorgeous.

I used the Coastal Cabana as my card base, layering cantaloupe after embossing the top edge with one of the embossing folders in Delicate Designs (127023)

I folded over the paper lace and  embossed on white paper with white embossing powder using a stamp from the Delicate Doilies stamp set.  I sponged on some color from the ink pad.

Then I layered the stamped and colored image from Sketched Birthday using Stampin Dimentionals on the backs of both layers.

A fairly simple card that certainly could be done quicker if desired.

I hope this gives you some ideas for your cards. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Your my cup of tea, SU10 min fast and fabulous card

I have a really cute card for you today.  I used Pistachio Pudding for my base card. I embossed a strip of Whisper White using the Honeycomb folder and added the graphic from the Tea Party stamp set.
It's cut out using the Ovals framelit set.

To get a matching ribbon I recolored my Very vanilla seam binding by swiping across it using a sponge and my ink pad.

That's it!

Thanks for stopping by, and come by next wed for another 10 min fast and fabulous card.

Stampin Up Pals Paper Arts challenge

We have another color challenge!  Beautiful colors together and a very easy challenge this time.

So, here is my entry.  Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Strawberry Slush. I added a neutral to it, in  this case Whisper White for my tag.  I used one of the Labels collection framelits to create the top of
my tag, then sponged on some Daffodil Delight around the edges.

The Smoky layer was embossed with the new Stylish Stripes embossing folder, from the new Holiday catalog.  Yesterday was the very first day to order from it.

The stamp set is Too Kind, a 2 step stamp, you stamp the first flower then over the top the second piece of it. You can use the same color or a different color like a bit darker.  I just stamped them the same to create a fuller flower.
the piece of DSP is from Gingham Garden.

Here are todays colors:

And here is a look at the Too Kind stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by, hope I've given you some ideas for your own cards.

Shabby Chic Stampin Up Birthday card

I was just making cards and needed a special one for my daughters 50th birthday. And yes I'm that old. LOL.  She loves pink, and I think this has just the right amount of pink.
I used Whisper White for my card base, then Baked Brown Sugar.

I used my Smoky Slate stamp pad for the text, it's the new Dictionary background stamp. I had to have this one soon as I saw it.
I stamped off onto scratch paper once first to get it this light, then onto my white piece.
The doily went on next, then a Blushing Bride flower cut from the Blossom Punch and over stamped with Delicate Doilies, but lots of stamps would work as well. The top flower is cut using the Pansy punch.

I used a new Candy dot in the center.  I then stamped the birthday sentiment from the Sketched Birthday set and cut out using the Bitty Banners framelits.

Thanks for stopping by, hope this gives you some ideas for your own cards.
