Stampin Up, Sponging

I taught this for my class one month, I think it's a good time to share it.  They really liked it. I have some that do not like to color in and some that do, but they all liked this technique.

Colors are Calypso Coral, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron.   I love the 5/8" satin ribbon, it looks so elegant.  All we did was stamp in Versamark, and emboss white, then sponged color on. A little banner in the center finishes it off and it can go for lots of different reasons.

The wreath is Circle of Spring in the annual catalog. It uses the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge #281

Well, normally I am not on this weeks team, but Brian offered a challenge and not being one to back off from one, I accepted and did up a card for this week.

Smoky Slate and Tempting Turquoise. Love those colors, I don't use Turquoise often enough and it's a great color!

This is one of the new kits in the 2016 Occasions catalog going live on Jan 5th.  There is lots more to it, but I needed something suitable for guy cards as I have 2 grandsons having birthdays soon.
Well, ok, I did get a bit carried away with rhinestones.  But I think they can handle it. LOL. Also, don't you just love this embossing folder?

Thanks for stopping by, here is the sketch.

And here is where you will find the PPA challenge, come play along.

Stampin Up, GDP 015 Theme challenge

Welcome to my version of the challenge theme for Global Design Project #015. This week is the Theme, Celebrate.

The balloons are from a brand new set in the Occasions catalog, there is also a cup cake and candle stamp with matching punches, cute little punches.
Do not ask me where this card came from. I have no little girls to send to. All boys and not so little anymore, but I am such a girl!
Do you think it would have been better with more balloons? I debated.  I could have easily added at least 2 more I think, but................

Don't forget to get your copy of the Occasions and SAB catalogs going live on Jan 5th. It's always so much fun to select free stuff on a reg order.

I wish the Wink of Stella showed up better, it's really hard getting that to photograph, but it adds such a pretty accent.  We will have clear and gold starting on the 5th of next month.

Christmas is almost here again.  I sure hope you all are ready, personally I have just a few things to do.  Couple gifts for the neighbors and one I have to embroider for hubby.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Sneak Peek 2016 Occasions

Welcome!  This rose is exactly the die I have been waiting for! Isn't it gorgeous?!

Wait until you get that new Occasions and SAB catalogs in your hot little hands. It's fabulous x 2.

This is my personal favorite, but there is another that is hugely popular among the demo's. And much, much more.  My first attempt is done in watercolor using Smoky Slate to give it a kind of stained glass look.   It sure doesn't take much to make this a very special card no matter how you do it.

You will be able to purchase this and the rest of the Occasions on Jan 5th.  For every $50 you spend on any current product, you may choose something from the new SAB catalog for free.

Oh and this die and the other dies in the set are bundled with a beautiful stamp set as well. So it's a bargain as well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin up, PPA 279

I just love all the elegant products we have to work with this year. SU out did themselves.
This ornament is gold foil.  Base card is Real Red with white on top and a piece from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum stack.  Beautiful gold embossed snowflakes on vellum.

The ornament is from the Delicate Ornament Thinlit dies.  I think the over all look is very elegant.

Stampin Up, Global Design Project #014, Sneak peek SAB 2016

A really tiny peek.  This cute little flower is from the new What I Love stamp set going live on Jan 5, 2016.  It's a 3 step stamp with some very cute accessories stamps, and a couple of really cute sentiments.  But for this card, I choose a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in the annual catalog.

You can use just one color for your 3 stamp process, but here I used two because of the dark color. I used Elegant Eggplant for my first outline then stamped with the  2 fill stamps using Rich Razzleberry.

It's a very simple card, and I think will suit any number of situations.  I hope you have a great time shopping for those Occasions and SAB items in Jan. I had a ball with my pre order, and yes, I got a bit carried away. I couldn't help myself!   Wait until you see the Occasions catalog! Wow, SU has done them selves proud.  And the SAB has some very sweet things in it.

My favorite from the SAB?  It's the vellum stack. A lighter weight vellum with a cloudy paper and a beautiful white design.   Just gorgeous.  Come check, I'll be using some soon.

Stampin Up, Mojo Monday #427, Birthday Boy

I decided to do the Mojo monday sketch today. I needed to make a birthday card for one of my 16yr old grandsons.  Yes, I do have more then one 16 yr old.  I have 3 girls, and within one years time, they each gave birth to a boy.   It's wonderful for them to have each other, but I do better with girl stuff, so hard on Grandma.

I used the 6x6 Cherry On Top DSP stack from the annual catalog. I haven't used it much, and haven't done much of anything except from the Holiday catalog, so it was a nice break.

If you haven't noticed the Tin of Cards, you might want to take a look. This sentiment is in that stamp set and the tin comes with lots of goodies to set up a tin for those cards you make ahead, plus the stamp set has lots of really nice sentiments and a couple images that are really cute.

If I'd thought about it before I was done and taking pictures, I might have waited to make this until my preorder was here for the new Occasions catalog tonight.  That birthday set I ordered would work great with this.

Oh well, another day, got lots of boys to make cards for.

Stampin Up, PPA 278

It's a color challenge. And Christmas colors even!  Come on along, and play with us!  One more card done!  Today is also the day I'm digging out my Christmas card list and running off the labels for them.  Every year I have to make some adjustments to who gets, but I do love sending my hand made cards.  For me as a crafter, it's one of the things that makes Christmas.

Here are the colors.

If you don't have a color, just substitute another similiar one.  Find the PPA site HERE.

Let me know if you have linked a card to the challenge, I'd love to run over and leave a comment for you.
