Fast and Fabulous 10 min card, Red

I have a pretty red and white card for you today.

So simply and so cute. White and any other color always makes for a cute card, and no overthinking it.  I know, there are layers, but it doesn't take long at all and it gives the card that pop of color.
So, start by cutting your Cardstock in half. You'll end up with 2- 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" cards.  Fold one of them in half, cut a piece of red 5 1/4"x4. Usually I cut a piece of my CS in half then take one half and cut in half again, giving me 2 quarter pieces. One of those I cut down just a bit for my second layer.
Then cut a piece of white another 1/4" smaller.

Colors:
Whisper White
Real Red
Supplies:
Wacky Wishes stamp set (Hostess set)
Big L fun flowers sizzix die set (Flower)
Designer Series Paper pad
Pearl
Stitched Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by and looking.

Mojo Monday 282

It's circle or square week.  And I had a lot of fun with this sketch. Here is my take on it/

And here is the sketch.

My colors this week are:
Whisper White
Night of Navy
Summer Starfruit
Gumball Green
Supplies:
Elements of Style stamp set
Four Seasons stamp set ( hostess set)
Victoria Crochet trim
2 3/8" scallop round punch
2 1/2" Round punch
1" round punch
Print Poetry Designer Series Paper pad.  This one is the smaller size pad, just right for cards.
White card is layered with Night of Navy 1/4" smaller then the 5 1/4" card.  White is layered over the Night of Navy. I stamped the large floral in Summer Starfruit for the background. Cut a 1 1/2" piece of DSP, and made the end using the 1" square punch and layered it over a piece of Night of Navy.
For the main focus I stamped the graphic using Night of Navy, cut out using the scallop round punch and then stamped again with Gumball green punching out the center with the 1" round punch.
Thanks for stopping by, love to know what you think of it.

Paper Players Sketch challenge 134

I decided to branch out a bit. I found The Paper Players and they look like a fun group. So, here is the sketch for this round.

A simple sketch that allows for a lot of different ideas, love that. So, here is my take on it.

Colors are :
Whisper White
Baja Breeze
Perfect Plum
I got carried away with rhinestones for this one, I have found myself loving rhinestones!  They are pretty cheap for the amount of bang.
Supplies:
Wood embossing folder
Curly Label Punch
Adorning Accents Edgelit die
Apothecary Framelits die
Subtles DSP paper pad
Subtles pack of brads
Perfect Plum Ribbon, (retired)
It's Your Birthday (retired) for the sentiment.
All items are in the main catty except the Wood embossing folder, you can find that in the spring catty.
I have really been enjoying trying out different shapes together for sentiments, you just never know what you might find that looks great.

If you would like to shop, you can find my store and all the current catalogs here.

For my part I have a neat little gift type item that is fun and easy to make.

Mine is dressed up for Valentines day, but you can do so many things, just think of it as a big card. Inside is a Jr legal tablet.

I added some of the DSP to the top of the tablet.
It uses a full sheet of CS, I used Whisper White here, then as my tablet is about 1/4" thick, I found the center, and scored 1/8" on either side of it. I also cut 1/4" off the top edge and 1/8" off each side edge just so it looked a bit neater, but that is up to you.
Would make a cute gift for a friend, spouse, teacher, just change out the sentiment.
I love my new SU trimmer, it has both a cutting and scoring blade attached all the time. It's really easy to do a small amount of scoring.
I also am in love with these two sets. The sentiment is from You Are Loved Stamp set, and punched out using the Decorative Label punch.
The Hearts are from the Hearts A Flutter Stamp and die cut bundle in the Spring Catalog. I am so glad I bought that one, I've been having a great time with it.
I used the Neutrals Designer Series Paper pad. I truly love all the paper pads, they are so usable. They are good for any kind of card or project without worrying if they are out of season.
I also used Cherry Cobbler Seam binding
So my colors are,  Whisper White, Black/gray, Cherry Cobbler.
I hope you find this project useful.

    Mojo Monday 280

It's monday so it's time for Mojo Monday. This challenge is a lot of fun, and I have to push myself to run into my craft room and make a card at 6am, but I just can't stand to be too far down on the list. LOL. That's just me, there is plenty of time, several days in fact, to play and post.
I see I have used Crumb cake two weeks in a row. Funny as I am just not a person who really likes the browns, but it's so useful.
    Colors:
    Very Vanilla
    Crumb Cake
    Midnight Muse
    Gumball Green
    Supplies:
Print Poetry DSP, this is the small stack of paper that is card sized. Spring Catty(129312)
Stacks of Wishes, Hostess set in the Spring catty
Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder (117335)
Adorning Accents embossing Folder (one of a set of 3) (125601)
    Scallop Trim Border punch (118402)
Gumball Green 3/8" stitched satin ribbon (126848)
    Decorative Label Punch  (120907)
    Boho Blossoms punch (119858)
    Stampin Dimensionals (104430)
    Rhinestone Basic jewels (119246

I put both the dots and border embossing folders on the Crumb cake layer at the same time. To hold the border folder on so it didn't slip I put a piece of tape on the folder at the edge of the paper.
I did ink up the punched out sentiment so it showed better against the background, I slightly off set the Midnight Muse layer.
    Thanks for stopping by.

Fast and Fabulous 10 min card, a day late.

I am so sorry I'm a day late, yesterday just wizzed by and I have several cards for make for Birthdays and thank you's, plus I am trying to get my act together and go through all my roller drawers getting rid of anything I haven't used in years. That's a tough one for me, I moved it all 3 yrs ago without going through it. And I really hate parting with any of it.
Anyway, todays card is pretty simple. I think I'd actually like a larger flowers or just longer stem on this, but
I didn't have one to try. I do love this sentiment from the You are Loved stamp set, Big catalog, pg 24.
Wood (123777) Clear (123779). The whole set is just gorgeous.
    Colors
    Basic Gray
    Raspberry Ripple
    Whisper white
Other then the stamp set, I used a corner rounder and pearls on this.
    Thank for Stopping by.

    Mojo Monday 279

Welcome to another Mojo Monday card, this is number 279, wow!
Loved this weeks sketch, but it was still a difficult card to make, it's a guy card. I have 2 adult grandson's who have birthdays just a few days apart, so that was my personal challenge.

Here is what I came up with for this one. I do love browns and blues together and I think these colors worked well for a guy card.
And I got a chance to use one of my new stamp sets from the Spring catty! Make a Wish is where the wonderful cake came from.
    Colors:
    Crumb Cake
    Soft Suede
    Midnight Muse

    Supplies:
Print Poetry DSP, patterned paper. I love the new card sized paper pads, this one is in the Spring Catty. (129312)
Make a Wish stamp set, also from the Spring Catty. Wood (129219) Clear (129222)

    Just playing

I have not one, but two cards for you today.  I needed to send thank you cards to my daughter and her MIL. They were so thoughtful after Christmas when they went shopping and found something they knew I would love. and I do. I am all about kitties, and they found a pottery store with an awesome hand made large mug with kitties all around.
    Isn't it just too cute?
    So, here is card one.

I used much of the same items on both, but they are a bit different as well.
    Colors
    Whisper white
    Daffodil yellow
    Basic black
    Supplies
    Neutrals Collection DSP (117157)
Best of Everything Stamp set  Wood (123534) Clear (123536)
Papillion Potpourri stamp set  Wood (123757) Clear (123759)
    Fancy Fan embossing folder (127751)
    Curly Label punch  (119851)
    Rhinestones  (119246)

A quick little tip is to use the 1" square punch for the ends of the banners.

    Card #2

I used the same basic idea, but stamped my sentiment from the Curls and Swirls Verses stamp set (hostess set) before running it through the embossing machine.
I also used the tiny butterflies from the Four Seasons (hostess set)  and a couple of the jeweled brads (retired)
I hope this gives you some ideas. Thanks for stopping by.
