Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts challenge 276, It's snowing

I love snowflakes!  So when I saw the sketch it just had to be snowflakes down the side.

I also love this sentiment that comes with, just says Christmas to me.   What do you think?

I used Pool Party for my base card and the color of the snowflakes.  It was dark enough to show through the vellum and light enough to be pretty snowflakes.

Come on over and play, remember, don't let a sketch stop you, it's meant to be a starting place, put your own spin on it and show us what you came up with.

Here is the sketch:

Stampin Up, Following Santa around the world, Global Design Project 011

I have to admit, this card kind of reminds me of the NORAD site.  But the idea popped into my head one day while I was browsing my stamp sets for an idea for a class card.

I love that World Map background stamp, works with so many different ideas.  You can use it as a full background or just crop a part in what ever shape you like.

I hope you enjoy it and I would love to see what you do with this background stamp.

I stamped a 4x4" piece of Whisper White CS, then used my aqua painters and ink pads to add the colors to the map.  I used a slightly larger circle from the Circle framelits dies for the inside so there was room for glue all the way around.

Stampin Up, Looking through the window

These windows are addictive!  This was one for class last month. I never post my class cards before class cause then it wouldn't be a surprise. LOL

There are so many sets you can use this season to see outside or inside the window!  Here I used one of the sets from Happy Scenes, which is bundled with the dies, and one of the Sleigh ride thinlits.

I love how it appears a horse and sleigh is passing through.  You can pick out DSP to use as wallpaper, or you can make it appear you are looking in, maybe at the decorated tree or the fireplace with stocking hanging.  Below I have a couple more I made to show the class. I was just having too much fun making these.

The one above uses  Cozy Christmas stamps, and the one below, Festive Fireplace and Peaceful Pines.
So many pieces so many things you can do with them. So much fun!

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up Pals Paper Arts Challenge #274

This week is a Color challenge from the PPA.   I'd love to see you come play, it's really a lot of fun.

I suppose I COULD have turned this into a Christmas card, but that really would have been weird, yes?  And I truly did enjoy getting away from Christmas for this one.  It's pretty simple, and Butterflies are wonderful for so many sentiments.

Here are this weeks colors, let me know if you play along and I'll for sure go look and comment, ok?

Stampin Up, Freshly Made Sketches challenge #211

A clean and simple card for the Freshly Made Sketches. SU has so many beautiful products in this Holiday catalog I'm having a hard time using them all.  I'm so tempted to save all those pretty goodies, and I'm trying really hard not to do that, they need to be used!

On this card I used Gold foil, Winter Wonderland Designer Series Paper and Winter wonderland vellum on my circle.  The black and golds this year are just so pretty!

Here is the sketch, come on over and play.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Playing with Embellished Ornament stamps and dies

I saw a card in a scrapbook shop one day that grabbed my attention. It used non SU product, so mine has our Embellished Ornament die and the scene is from Cozy Christmas. I was so taken with it that I decided to try it with SU product and I love how it turned out!

I made mine with two different ink colors, Night of Navy and Marina Mist.  I first stamped my designs using Staz-On black, then watercolored using my Aqua Pen, then I used my Versa Mark pad to put some ink on the bottom under the house and trees.   I sprinkled on Heat and Stick, heated, then added Dazzling Diamonds and heated again.  It's hard to see the glitter here, but in person it's very glittery and pretty.

I stamped my sentiment on before embossing with the Softly Falling folder.  Then I went mad with pearls.  I think I was channeling Ann Schach.  Well, really I had a pack with just a few pearls in it that had been sitting in front of me for ages, so I just used them all.

I hope you enjoy this and get some inspiration from it.

Stampin Up, and GDP 009

Today is a color challenge, using some of the new incolors for this year. Here are the colors for this week:

I used my Aqua Pens to watercolor in the image.  You can get a different look with them then you can with markers, so that and my Blender pens are my go to for coloring in.

The little bit of DSP showing at the bottom is from a 6x6" Paper Stack called Cherry on Top.

A pretty quick and simple card.  Come on over to Global Design Project and play with these awesome demo's.
