Stampin Up, Freshly Made Sketches challenge #211

A clean and simple card for the Freshly Made Sketches. SU has so many beautiful products in this Holiday catalog I'm having a hard time using them all.  I'm so tempted to save all those pretty goodies, and I'm trying really hard not to do that, they need to be used!

On this card I used Gold foil, Winter Wonderland Designer Series Paper and Winter wonderland vellum on my circle.  The black and golds this year are just so pretty!

Here is the sketch, come on over and play.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Global Design Project 006

It's not enough to make a great card, you also have to take a great photo, not always the easiest thing to do. This one was one of those hard ones. Gold embossing on black, but it's stunning in person.  It's hard to see, but there is a gold foil layer between the Very Vanilla and black.  I love this stamp set. To get just the dove without the sentiment I covered it with a post it, then put on my Versa Mark ink and took the post it away to stamp.

The sentiment is beautiful, but I simply didn't have room for it with this design and I do love how it turned out. So it can be used inside instead.

The design on this stamp is a really nice one if you like to color in, but as you see, it can be done other ways. You could use gold, silver or white embossing and water color inside or sponge inside ect.

This week at GDP was a sketch challenge, so many beautiful examples by the team, check them out.

Sure hope I have inspired you, thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up PPA 270, Sleigh ride

Ever seen gold snowflakes? Me either, but wouldn't that be something?!  I used a piece of the vellum from the pack of Winter Wonderland Vellum to cover my trees.  It kind of makes it look like a snowy overcast day, doesn't it?
Now I live in the desert of AZ, actually it does snow here just a tiny bit some winters, but it's gone just as quickly, but I have lived in snow country.  Thankfully, not anymore.   But it's fun to look at.

I really didn't think I'd find this many uses for the Sleigh Ride framelits, but they keep popping into my head.  I could have made this card without, but I think it added so much.

My base colors for this week are the challenge colors, before I show them to you, I'll tell you I stamped the trees on Sahara Sand, not white.
Here are the colors, come play with us!
