Stampin Up, PPA 278

It's a color challenge. And Christmas colors even!  Come on along, and play with us!  One more card done!  Today is also the day I'm digging out my Christmas card list and running off the labels for them.  Every year I have to make some adjustments to who gets, but I do love sending my hand made cards.  For me as a crafter, it's one of the things that makes Christmas.

Here are the colors.

If you don't have a color, just substitute another similiar one.  Find the PPA site HERE.

Let me know if you have linked a card to the challenge, I'd love to run over and leave a comment for you.

Stampin Up, Paper Players sketch challenge 272

I LOVE this silver snowflake vellum!!!  And when I love something, I don't use it. Yup, bet more of you are like that. I decided it needed to be used.  Someone on my Christmas card list will be getting this.

Silver is really hard to take photos of, it comes off dark, but it's not.  The tree is silver embossed and just gorgeous.

I used Soft Sky for my base card,  and I wanted to keep as much of the vellum showing as I could and still be true to the sketch, so the sentiment needed to be a die. I love all the dies for words and sayings!  So much of what we have today was not even dreamed of way back when we started stamping.  Yup, I was there when it all started.

We had a stamp board on the old Prodigy Service, no internet yet, and we would all meet and either go to stamp stores or hit up the Printer supply house for great cardstock and stuff.   Raise your hand if you were there too! It was an exciting and fun time.

 Here is the sketch:

I hope you enjoyed my card and it gives you some inspiration.  Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

Stampin Up, Freshly Made Sketches challenge #211

A clean and simple card for the Freshly Made Sketches. SU has so many beautiful products in this Holiday catalog I'm having a hard time using them all.  I'm so tempted to save all those pretty goodies, and I'm trying really hard not to do that, they need to be used!

On this card I used Gold foil, Winter Wonderland Designer Series Paper and Winter wonderland vellum on my circle.  The black and golds this year are just so pretty!

Here is the sketch, come on over and play.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts challenge #272

I have been very remiss lately.  Normally, especially at Christmas, I use Crumb Cake CS, but I haven't used it in quite a while, so I decided that this would be the time. I love white on Crumb cake. You can use the SU white pad, but it is a pad meant for embossing, so it doesn't dry very quickly, and it sinks into the paper and gets lighter in color.   So, not wanting to emboss this time, I used the Staz-On white.  Warning: if you use this pad, be very sure NOT to allow water on it before starting to use the Staz-On stamp cleaner!  Otherwise, you will never get all the white off your stamps.  The Staz-on Black comes off very nicely with the cleaner, but even with that the white doesn't like to come off very well. I took to using an old toothbrush after applying the cleaner and scrub good before washing it all offf.

I am really loving the Thinlit words that are out now. They made such a difference and allow for more creativity.

I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Peace Christmas card

There are just too many goodies in this Holiday catalog. I was going through some of the new DSP and this one is so gorgeous! However, it's a little busy and the images are fairly large, so a little harder to use.   I set about finding some thing I could make with it that made me happy, and this is it.

The Peace is done in Gold Foil and matches the beautiful gold ribbon. Pretty simple and quick and lovely if I may say so myself.

I hope I have inspired you with this, let me know ok? If you need an answer, you will have to come back to the comments to find it, unfortunately Blogger doesn't have a way for me to reply to you in email.

Have a great weekend.
