I'm playing with Paper Players this fine sunday, the day after the 4th of July. And yes, I just used this set the last card I posted. But now that I have it, I love using it.
The Paper Players challenge this week is from Ann, it's The Great Outdoors. You don't get more outdoors then this, right?
I used some watercolor paper today, I really want to take a class, watercoloring is so fab looking and right now, it's hot as well. I'm not very good, and am really limited so far, but I have noticed a tip or two that I'm trying. So, on this one, I first stamped the boat. I tried it the other way around and it just didn't work out. Then I used a brush and brushed some water on the paper where the water would go.
I then brought over a tiny bit of color from my pad using my brush and just brushed it on. I also used my wet brush to bring down a bit of the darker color I had used for the ship. Over all, I'm pretty pleased.
Ok, colors today were, Whisper White, Marina Mist, Night of Navy.
You'll find the products I used below, you can just click on any of them to be taken to my store.

Stampin Up, Saying Good bye
Noooooo, not me, I'm not leaving. LOL. But we are coming to the close to another SU catalog year. And it is one of those years where we loose a LOT of product. So, I'm here to say good bye to most of the product I have used on this card. DSP usually all retires so we expect that. But well over 100 stamp sets and a whole bunch of Die cut sets and punches!
I'll have links to my store where you can find the retired list at the bottom of my post. Just click on any of the images, if there is something you want, best to order it now, if it's even still there. Stamp sets may be ok, SU makes their own and will do their best to keep up with demand, but there is only so much of everything else.
Having said that, it's an exciting time. The new catalog should have some fabulous new stuff.
The sentiment stamp set is about the only thing besides the little banner punch on here that is staying. Black and Basic gray ink is leaving for now. I believe they are reformulating them so they work better.
So, have a great day, and I hope you enjoy my tribute to retiring product, BTW, I'm keeping this stamp set, I love it, and it's staying in my stash.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts 222
Good morning stampers. I really enjoy fall cards, for a short while. So, when this weeks color challenge was using Early Espresso, Calypso Coral and So Saffron, perfect fall colors, I decided to find another use for them. I think it could still be used for fall, but I just love this watercolor application.
Very simple to do. I used a piece of water color paper, but you can also use Whisper White, spritzed it with my mister with water, then I used my Aqua painter, also filled with water, picked up some color on the brush and brushed away, first with So Saffron then the coral. It dries pretty quickly.
After it dried I used the Gifts of Kindness stamp and my Espresso, I didn't spritz the stamp after inking up, but you could, that would lend a neat look. I really think the water color cards do very well without any bling, but you could add some if you like.
I hope you enjoyed.

Stampin Up Quick and simple card set
Good morning, and how are you all on this beautiful sept morning? Even here in AZ we know fall can't be too far away. It's still hot, but just can't last too much longer, so we are looking forward to those cool nights when we can leave the windows open.
Curves is have a week of open house this coming week. I'm not sure if it's all Curves or only certain areas, I do mine is and my friend in CA says hers is as well. You might check if you are interested, it's a great chance to check out Curves and see if it's for you. Or you might just want to go and shop on thur afternoon.
Ours is having a shopping afternoon between 4 and 7. Invited to have a table are reps for Home based business's. I was asked if I would represent Stampin Up. But of course. I made this cute set of cards for the drawing.
I made one in each of last years in colors. Every year SU comes out with a new set of 5 incolors, these are last years and will retire at the end of this catalog period in May. They have been a real favorite with many, I love them and they all work so well together they are a joy to play with.
Also, one nice bonus with new incolors is that you can buy a set that includes all 5 ink pads and a set of paper with 4 of each color, all for the price of just the ink pads. I think that is a great bargain and a great way to have a whole set, I but it in my first order every year.
I used the Flowering Florishes on this, the largest one in the set and simply added rhinestones for that bit of extra that makes these special. A set like this makes a very nice little gift especially if someone is needing thank you cards, but I think everyone likes having some nice cards on hand.
As always, click on any of the photos below to be taken to my store where you can just check items out more, or purchase should you desire to do so.

Stampin Up, Mojo Monday 358
Today I used the pretty flower in Choose Happiness for my card. I used my Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities for coloring of the flower and also to color the centers of my gold sequins.
I know the sequins are hard to see, but I put a dot of Crystal effects in the middle and let it dry. Then I could color them.
If you haven't used Crystal effects yet, you should. It's a fantastic adhesive, and can bu used over say a blob of color to create a raised effect. As you can see, it can also be colored using the Blendies.
Here is todays sketch:
Thanks for stopping by, you can check out the products used and purchase if you like by clicking on any of the graphics below.
Just as a reminder, SU has a great promotion right now. Sign up for Paper Pumpkin before Sept 10th and you will get the first 2 months at a 50 percent discount, that's only $10 a month for 2 months. There is way more value in these kits then that. They are so much fun to get in the mail and so much fun to play with.

Stampin Up, PPA 209, Just Because
Good morning, or afternoon or evening, whenever you are browsing the internet.
Todays card is a sketch challenge from PPA (Pal's Paper Arts).
I have quite fallen in love with this cute little set So Very Happy. It's whimsical and some adorable elements.
I used it to off set the more elegant nature of the black and white here along with a touch of Pool Party. One of my customers claims she will one day have a craft room done in Pool Party, Hi Sandy.
I used the new 1/4" cotton ribbon, it's so soft and pretty. And the sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts. I've been wanting this sentiment for quite a while now, it just suits so many occasions.
Here is this weeks sketch, why not play along?
