Christmas Kitty

It's been quite a while since I have posted anything.  Besides making Christmas table runners for my family for Christmas, hubby and I took a little trip over to Lake Mead at Hoover Dam for a rally. We were gone for 4 day and had a really nice time.  Great weather and good company.  When I got home, I had to spend time getting class projects ready and I only had a couple days.

This little guy is made using the Foxy Friends set.  I happen to be the Cat Lady, so I made myself a kitty.  I'm loving the Jolly friends set and punch for the santa hats too, very different and a lot of fun to play with.   SU's Holiday catalog this year is fabulous! So many wonderful stamp sets and lots and lots of die sets and some punches.

My tree is from Santas Sleigh and the greenery is from Christmas Pines.   If I had to pick one set that got the most use from this catalog it would be Christmas Pines! I know you have seen it everywhere, it just is a great accent for most cards and so usable on it's own as well.  I didn't use the dies on this, just a couple of the stamps.

The background DSP is from the Foxy Friends DSP stack, a 6x6" stack of DSP.

I hope you enjoy and it gives you some ideas of your own.  Merry Christmas.
As usual just click on any image to be taken to my store where you can purchase or just check them out closer.

Santa's Sleigh card

There were so many wonderful stamps, dies and bundles in this years Holiday catalog it was very hard to know what to get first.   Since I'd decided that this was the year I was going to get some Fall/halloween sets, this one had to wait a bit, but it was very hard!

I've sized this card to fit in a #10 envelope. I happen to have some from a purchase I made after Christmas a few years ago and this set is just perfect for them.

I started with a base that is 9 1/4"x 8". Score so you have a card base of9 1/4"x4". This size will leave just a bit of room on the edges for the envelope.   I cut my top layer down 1/4" on two sides leaving a little red showing.

I then stamped and embossed my stars, and sponged on Night of Navy lightly.  I tore 2 narrow pieces of white and layered across the bottom for snow.  Then started adding my sleigh, raindeer and tree. The sleigh is Copper foil with red glimmer paper over top.  Crumb cake was used for the raindeer, but CS and ink, then Always Artichoke for the tree, again both CS and ink.

I popped up my sleigh with Dimentials making sure there was room to place my packages.   Lead raindeer got a red nose and bow on his wreath.

I hope you enjoy. Thanks for coming by, happy stamping.
