Thoughts of You, Tic Tac Toe challenge

We have a brand new challenge that started up a bit ago.  It's called Tic Tac Toe, you pick a row to make your card, or you can pick them all.    I combined mine with a new technique thought up by a friend of mine in our Pretty Pals demo group.  She does the most fab watercolor.  You can find the instructions for this on Splitcoast Stampers. I decided to give it a try and used it for this card.

My colors today are: Powder Pink, Blushing Bride, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White
The little rose in the sentiment is embossed in copper, and I used a small part of the retired doily that was sitting on my desk.  The Glitter dots do not look very glittery here, but trust me they really are. I just could not get the light right for them.

So, go here for the challenge:
and here is todays challenge card:

If you have questions about my card, I have no way to write you unless you give me contact info. So you would have to come back to comments to see my answer, but I am more then happy to answer any questions.

Here are the products I used today.

You've Got Style, new Stampin Up stamp set

This year our annual catalog has so many fun sets and suites.  This is one, and I couldn't wait to try it out.  It's called You've Got Style, and in a small way, pokes fun at some of us.   My only problem is figuring which friend to send this first one to.

Besides the new stamp set, I have a brand new 3D embossing folder as the background. Layered Leaves, I embossed and then ran my hard brayer over my ink pad and onto my embossed paper, gently.

I also used this new ribbon, it's so soft and is easy to use and a great width!
My colors today are Fresh Fig, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and black with a tad bit of Powder Pink on the kitty ears and tail.

You can color this up as much as you like or leave just stamped or emboss it, all different looks. I have some ladies in class that love to color and some that just hate to, so they do which ever they prefer.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts challenge #305, Beautiful Blessing

Wow, it's the middle of June already, where has time gone?  Seems to be passing by so quickly.

Sometime back I posed a little card just using the frame of the rose, you can see that one here:
This was the main card I started with.  The second frame was the result of cutting the rose out and just using the insides to get the colors.

I use a little product called Stick It Adhisive. It's a paper lined on both sides. Very, very thin even with both lining still on.   So can see it at work on youtube.  After you cut your die out it pulls away and is sticky over the whole piece.

I separated the insets and took the backing off one piece at a time and put it in place, like a puzzle.

I've seen it done with many different colors, so go ahead and play with that idea.  So, here are the colors:

Stampin UP Thanks using Rose Garden Thinlits.

I was just playing around in my stamp room today. I had a left over rose from the Rose Garden Thinlits and decided to play with it.
The colors are New Dapper Denim and Pool Party. I love how they worked together.

I simply put the rose on the bottom of the card, added a piece of DSP from the Sutbles DSP stack, it's a 12x12 paper stack with several patterns in all the subtles colors.  I then used a piece of the Dapper Denim ruched ribbon to hide my seam.

It's been a very long time since I've used Papillan Potpourri!  I've had this set so long it is in the old style cases and is separated from the rest of my sets, so I don't think about it.  But it's such a neat little set of butterflies.
I used the Bitty Butterfly punch to cut out the center one from the same paper as on top, then stamped and cut out the other two.  It's hard to see, but I added pearls for bling.

I topped it off with the retiring Greetings Thinlits. So sorry to see these go, but I'll be keeping mine.

colors:  Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Pool Party

Stampin Up, Mojo monday 429

I am so ready to use something besides Christmas colors.   I haven't played with the Mojo monday crew in a while and liked this sketch, so here it is.

When I saw the sketch, the DSP jumped into my head, along with the rose framelits.
Timeless Elegance, I think they go well together.

Colors are Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz.

I used Wink of Stella, avail in clear and gold in the new Occasions catalog going live tomorrow the 5th of Jan.  Let's see if you can see it in this close up.

It seems to show, but doesn't really look sparkly, but it sure adds to the card, I used some on the rose at the top left corner as well.

Thanks for stopping by, and see below for a link to the products used here.

Stampin Up, Sneak Peek 2016 Occasions

Welcome!  This rose is exactly the die I have been waiting for! Isn't it gorgeous?!

Wait until you get that new Occasions and SAB catalogs in your hot little hands. It's fabulous x 2.

This is my personal favorite, but there is another that is hugely popular among the demo's. And much, much more.  My first attempt is done in watercolor using Smoky Slate to give it a kind of stained glass look.   It sure doesn't take much to make this a very special card no matter how you do it.

You will be able to purchase this and the rest of the Occasions on Jan 5th.  For every $50 you spend on any current product, you may choose something from the new SAB catalog for free.

Oh and this die and the other dies in the set are bundled with a beautiful stamp set as well. So it's a bargain as well.

Thanks for stopping by.
