Grown With Love, thinking of you card, Just Add Ink 371

Today I am playing along with Just Add Ink, here is the challenge and the Link to see the rest of the cards.
I have my own kitty Littlebit in the wagon. He was my favorite of all the cats I have had and that has been many.   I lost him to cancer a short time ago and I have to admit I still shed tears when I think about him too much.    This little stamp looks just like him.  He didn't have a pet bird, but I liked the idea.

The two major sets here are Grown with Love, (my favorite in the new A/C!) and Sitting here, that is the one with the porch type swing.

The grass is a piece of watercolor paper, wet down and using my aqua painter, I spread Garden Green from my ink pad, I pulled up some of the grass pieces and stamped in the rest.   I pulled the dirt stamp from Sheltered Tree.

Sorry to say, the candy dots are retired. I was so sorry to see them go, I really loved them. I used 2 on the wheels and 2 on the sentiment.  You could just punch out real red circles and add those on.

My colors today are: Whisper White, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Pool party, Smoky Slate, Soft Suede, Real Red, Garden Green.

Love you, Freshly Made Sketches #299

I haven't been posting as many cards lately as I usually do, but we have had a lot going on here at home, plus I'm trying to get my oldest daughters birthday gifts made.

But how cute is this sketch from FMS this week? You really should go take a look at what the team has done, I was blown away this week. So wonderful and each so different.

I used my Color Theory DSP stack in Berry Burst and Daffodil Delight for my edges. There are 3 several different  ways of doing the color in this stack, all of them are fun to use, the ones I used are graduated color down the sheet.
The rest of my colors are Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

JAI #364, Thinking Of You

Just Add Ink has an inspiration challenge this week.  I knew right away what set I would use to start with.   This one is shaping up to be a favorite already.  It's called Grown with Love.   I had to lay the card flat to get the light to shine on the embossing so you could see it. It's done in Copper like the piece in the inspiration photo.

The team did a fantastic job, as usual. Click on the link to see.

It looks like I used a lot of product in this, but mostly I was just trying to find little things that would work for the vision in my head.    My colors today are:  Powder Pink, So Saffron, Pear Pazzazz, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White along with copper for embossing.

I used one of the new templates for the brick background, just used a large round brush and brushed over part of the stencil to create my background.

Freshly Made Sketches 291, Grown With Love

I'm so excited, my order of brand new Stampin Up product was on my doorstep yesterday when I got home.   We had been gone to Vegas for the day, yeah, I know, my friends get all excited when I say that.  but for us, it's a shopping trip with a great lunch.  We live 100 miles south in AZ, and there isn't much here.   So, lunch of Olive Garden for the first time in ages, and an expensive run through Costco.

Anyway, with all the fabulous bundles this year, and this is probably the best year for the SU catalog EVER, bar none, I decided to get this little bundle.  I fell in love with it right away, so passed by the bigger bundles and went with this on, plus some stamp sets and ribbon and, and and.

The DSP is Petal Garden, 6x6 stack. Some fabulously gorgeous patterns that match up with the Petal Garden suite and Graceful Garden stamp set.

My colors today were mostly taken from the Petal Garden stack, Whisper White, Old Olive, Berry Burst, Sweet Sugarplum and Smoky Slate.

I went a little overboard on ribbon, but they are so yummy this year. This one is Berry burst and is just gorgeous.

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  The team did a fabulous job, go check them out.
