It's for You! Mojo Monday challenge 386

It may be tuesday, but it's Mojo Monday for me!  This was fun! I love a challenge when I'm happy with the outcome and I am with this one.

It's tall and skinny week, but I just did a reg A2 card the long way. Cut your CS down the length at 4 1/4".  You get the same size as cutting the other way at 5 1/2", but it opens at the bottom.

I used my Striped, Scallop die cut for the 2nd or 3rd time. This is a new die cut in the main catalog out last June, I love it, it's so elegant.

Colors this week are Whisper White, Gold Foil, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana.  That last one just always makes me think of Barry Manilow.  I have been a big fan for a long long time. Yes, I'm old. LOL.

Look below for the products I used on this. BTW, if you love these colors, they are only part of the 5 incolors from last year. They will be gone as of  the end of May when the new catalog comes out and a new set will come in.   So, if you like them, order soon.  There is a great buy in the catalog, you would pay $29.75 for all 5 of the ink pads, but if you order the Cardstock and ink pad set, you will get the 5 ink pads and 4 sheets of all 5 colors for the total of $29.95!

Best bargain in the catalog I think. Be sure to get the ink refills too before the catalog retires.

And, don't forget, right now, until March 31st you can choose 1 item from the SAB mini for every $50 you spend in other product, so now is a great time to get those items you have been waiting for.

Also, SU has come up with some brand new items to add to the free ones during SAB sale time. Those will be available on March 1. I'll be updating you on those in a day or two.

Mojo Monday 351, Sending Good thoughts

Good Mojo Monday to you! It's a fun sketch this morning.
Here is todays sketch:
For mine I took my colors from the All ABloom DSP Pad.  If you have been here before you'll know
I love those pads, they are sized for cards with a nice selection of double sided designs.  I used a piece of one of them on the left border.

I punched out my circle from the 2 1/2" circle punch and used the gel pen for my stitching, quick and easy and I didn't have to get out the sewing machine. For the banner across I embossed using the Decorative dots folder, then used the striped banner to put my sentiment on. To get it light enough I stamped off on paper before stamping on my CS.   To get the sentiment in just the right spot, the Stamp a ma jig is perfect and easy. I love how the sentiment from Perfect Pennants fit right over the banner from Amazing Birthday.

My colors today are: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede.

I hope I've given you some inspiration today, thanks for stopping by.

Pals Paper Arts 208 - Golden Birthday

It's a golden Birthday card today.  I just couldn't keep my hands off the gold. Gold Soiree DSP is just too gorgeous! I stamped and dry embossed the sentiment in gold as well. The base card is Blackberry Bliss.   I also used the new very soft gold ribbon.  Very quick and simple.

Why don't you play today too?

Happy, Happy, Happy

Yaaaaaaaa, I now have a space where I can sit and work so I'm able to get more stamping done.

I have loved this border design ever since I first saw it on DSP and I'm thrilled to have it in a stamp now. There are 3 different borders to the set, such fun.   I've already told you I just love whimsy! And SU has given some great touches of it in this new catalog.

The card base is cut at 4 1/4" on the long edge of the paper, making a narrower, longer card that opens at the bottom.   I used the Back to Black DSP from the new catalog, stamped and colored in my border and attached. Then added the sentiment and a couple more banners for back ground, wrapped some white Bakers twine and that's it.

The sentiment seemed to work well as it is off kilter and a bit funky too.

Mojo Monday 349, So Thankful

Good morning!  I was not going to get a card done and post this morning. I have a Dr appt this morning and figured I'd wait until I got home. However, when I looked this morning, not a single
person had posted yet, so I took up the challenge and got it done.

We have a combo of new and previous product that carried over into the new catalog. I love this set Tag Talk, all but one of the stamps can be punched out with this shape punch. I choose the one that didn't have a sentiment as I wanted to do my own banner across it.

I started with Crumb Cake as the card base, then layered a piece from the little Moonlight DSP pad. I like this one as it's not over powering for the rest of the card, there is a lot going on here.

I used the Stylish Stripes embossing folder then layer over a couple pieces of Sweet Sadie Washi tape for a bit of color.   The card would look great with the Tag Talk stamped and punched with the Label Bracket punch, but I decided to amp it up just a bit and put a shape behind. I used the Deco Labels Framelit for that. The little banner came from the new Amazing Birthday set, cut out with a Banner Framelet.   I then added candy dots from the Neutrals pack to finish it off.

I hope you enjoy! It was a quick, fun card to do.
