A Birthday card for GDP068

This week at Global Design Project they have a CASe the designer.  I was taken with the color scheme.    And I needed a card for a grandson.  I am regretting a couple of stamp sets I didn't get right now. I could really have used one of them.  My grandson is quite the all around guy, into computers, and classic cars and recently got himself a motorcycle.

But he will have to make do with balloons.  But I think it looks good. Clean and masculine.  I love the banner stamp and die sets, they sure add a lot to a simple card.  My favorite banner stamps are this set, Birthday banners. I love the stitched look to the lines.

I decided on Island Indigo for my blue, I've been using Night of Navy a lot recently and have left my poor Island Indigo all alone and unused.  Then I remembered I had this corrugated paper left over that has retired and it seemed just perfect!

Colors this time are: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Basic Black.
Come on over and see what the team did, they always do an awesome job.

I love this card Lynn! Clean and simple birthday card. Your grandson and my husband sound like they might get along - motorcycles, vintage cars, technology....he must be nice guy!
Thanks so much for playing along to our CASE Jess Williams Challenge this week at the Global Design Project. xo

Lynn, this is a fantastic "guy" card, especially with the corrugated card on the main panel. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project as we CASE Jess this week.

Fabulous card Lynn. I just love how you've used the original card and converted it to a masculine card (which I always find very difficult)! Thank you so much for joining in with the Global Design Project challenge this week. I'm so honoured to have had you CASE my card!
