An inspiration challenge this week at Just Add Ink. This idea, a smaller piece that looks like it is cropped out of a larger picture, is very much in right now. It's popular because it's so pretty and at the same time clean looking. You can cut a hole in the top layer so that your scene is inside and even make a shaker card out of this idea. I simply layered mine today.
I did the scene on a large piece then moved my circle around to where it looked good. I love the tiny butterflies and bird in this set, and the tiny flowers that you see in pink at the bottom. Those thing just add so much.
Here is the challenge, and the link to the site in case you want to see all the projects.
Now, my colors this time are: Blushing Bride, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and Whisper White.
Besides using the stamp set Enjoy Life, I used several die sets and the Subtles embossing folder. Here is a look at what the folder looks like, it's hard to make it show up on the card.
If you haven't seen it before here, I used this folder before and even once colored it first, totally different look! It looks great in person and just adds that little bit of something.
The sentiment was made using a die from the Bunch Of Banners die set, it creates 2 shapes, you can keep them together, just use the outside or inside, or do what I did here cutting it twice and putting the 2 colors together.
We have a great sale happening in July at Stampin Up, a large number of the Designer Series Paper is on sale, buy 3, get one free. You can get as many as you want.
In addition, if you join us as a demo in July, you can get a whole color family free with your kit, you get to choose, subtles, neutrals, royals or brights. That's 10 ink pads all in the new cases.
I have one other thing I'd like to mention right now. I've been getting little orders from someone, who is selecting NO CONTACT when they order. What that actually means is that we have no idea who you are, we can't email you or send you a pretty card thanking you for your order, or offer you a new catalog. None of us is going to pester you, but we would like to be able to help you out. So please think about it before selecting the no contact option, it's easy to overlook.
