10 Days of Christmas, 2014, Day 4
Welcome to day 4 of my 10 Days of Christmas. Today I used Ornamental Pine. Such a sweet, calm stamp set. I choose to emboss the pine with a Versamark pad and White embossing powder. I love the snow effect a simple grunge stamp gives to this, and I love the Night of Navy CS that looks like night time. I embossed the ornament in gold and tied it up with linen thread.
I think the stars really add to the night time effect.
I hope you got some ideas for your cards.

10 Days of Christmas Day 3, Glitter
Welcome to day 3 of my 10 days of Christmas. I'm making this an annual thing, 2 in a row. LOL.
Glimmer paper is the best way to do glitter, no mess. Just cut and glue down like any other paper. I used Silver and Red Glimmer paper on this.
My base card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", so I cut the white layer at 4 x 5 1/4. Each strip is just a 1" piece, and I think I went up 3 1/2", but you can make the length what you want depending on what you put at the top.
I love, love, love this soft satin ribbon, besides the white it comes in gold and silver. So perfect for this time of year.

Stampin Up, 10 Days of Christmas 2014, #2
Aren't these stars elegant? I love them, can't use them enough and they match the size of the Star Framelits, but here I just stamped with Versamark and embossed in gold. I just think it's such a simple and elegant card. I started my card base with a 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" pieced of CS in Cherry Cobbler. Use your envelop punch board to make a matching envelop for it.

Stampin Up, 10 Days of Christmas for 2014
I love the chalkboard technique! It sure made this a fun card and so easy. Just use black CS and emboss using white embossing powder. I sponged just a tiny bit of white from my white craft pad on it for that chalkboard look.
I cut a second Deco label the same size as the red, out of silver glimmer paper, cut across it bringing the top and bottom out a bit for framing. Just gave it that pretty extra touch.
Hope this helps with your Christmas cards.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts challenge 225
Interesting sketch challenge for this week from the PPA 225. And more gorgeous cards if you go look, lots of great ideas.
I have a bit of a problem with angles like this, I think it is the pretty much non functioning of a math brain in my head, but here it is. The silver foil is a bit hard to photograph, it looks almost black, but it's gorgeous in person.
The Festival of Trees set is just so usable! I find myself grabbing it over and over with different ideas for it. It's bundle priced so check it out. You can just punch out trees from DSP, or stamp and punch or just stamp or both.
Colors today are Silver, Whisper White, Marina Mist, and the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Blendies for the tree.

Stampin Up, Mojo Monday 368
Good morning stampers! For once I am here in the morning with todays Mojo Monday card, what a neat sketch, so easy to use and so adaptable.
I have mostly been doing fall and Christmas cards, we do have to start early if we are going to get them all done, and that doesn't even mention how long it can take to come up with just the right idea.
But I departed from that today. I love the Just Because sentiment, especially when you make cards up ahead of time, it's is useful for so many occasions, or no occasion at all.
Today I used Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper white along with my blendies.
The And Many More sentiment pack is really a great one to have on hand, so many occasions, it's hard to find something it doesn't have.
On a personal note, my surgery is coming up pretty quickly. I can't say I'm not a bit frightened, but I am looking forward to having a life again after a period of work to recoup. I hope you will hang in there with me if I am not able to make cards for a bit.

Stampin Up, PALs Paper Arts challenge 224
So here we are, another Thursday, another PPA challenge. I have to tell you, these challenges are often what keeps me going. They keep me going to my room even times when I don't feel like it. Once I get there, I'm always up for it.
Simple sketch today, so many ways to get it done. Be sure to visit the challenge blog, just click on my link in the right side and check out the rest of the cards.
I decided to use some colors I hadn't played with in a while. Whisper White of course, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Perfect plum.
My tip today is how to make this backing piece to the stamped piece. It's pretty easy. I glued the stamped Chalk Talk piece down to my Perfect plum piece of paper putting it right at 2 of the edges where I wanted it. Then I simply used my cutter to do the other two sides, and then each corner. I used a large hole punch for the center for my ribbon.
I hope you enjoyed.
