Stampin Up PAL's Paper Arts challenge #217
I can't seem to help myself. Now that I have so many Holiday sets I just have to use them, and this sketch just seemed ready made for this stamp set.
Woo Hoo, it's finally here! Today is the day you can start ordering from the new Holiday catalog! Do you have your copy? My customers have theirs, let me know if you'd like to have one.
Today I used Bright and Beautiful stamp set. It matches up with the star framelits and makes a very elegant Christmas card, but I don't believe it's just for Christmas.
I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and ink, Silver embossing powder with Versa Mark embossing ink.
You can also use the Silver Metallic Encore ink.
TIP: Remember when you use the metallic ink, it's pigment ink, meant for embossing, so if you are not embossing, give it a good long time to dry, or you can go over it with your heat gun to set it.
My sentiment is from Christmas Bliss, love that new set, lots of very neat sentiments. Now that I think about it, I could have embossed the sentiment also, but it's pretty either way. And I dearly love these skinny gold and silver ribbons, I hope they stick around for a good long time. I punched a hole in both sides of my oval and ran the ribbon through.
I used my tiny start punch to add the little star out of red glimmer.
I hope you enjoyed todays card, and if you are up for it, I do love to hear what you think. Keeping in mind that for some reason blogger doesn't give me a method of replying to your comment other then leaving my own comment, that is what I will do.

Stampin Up and Mojo Monday 360
Today is Tall and skinny day at Mojo Monday, but my card needed to be a bit wider then the skinny size, so I have cut my card 4 1/4" wide and 5 1/2" long.
I've been dying to use this new Sweetbrier Rose stamp. I colored it in with my Blendies and the tiny pearls in the centers of the flowers just added the perfect last touch.
My colors today are, Whisper White, Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder.
I used the Park Lane DSP, and it gave the card just a bit of texture, this is such a pretty pattern.
I hope you enjoyed todays card.

Stampin Up Guest stamper Holiday card
If you didn't come from my upline Mary Fish, this is the card I made for her to post as her guest stamper for today.
The wreath is a great new item from the brand new Holiday catalog, it's photopolymer stamps so you can stamp over the top of each layer and see exactly how to put it. This wreath has 3 layers of just the basic wreath, then the flowers, ribbon and words, how cool is that?
It also come has a die cut set and is bundle priced!
The base card is Cherry Cobber, and I used gold foil for the new this year, striped scallop thinlit. Isn't it elegant? The white paper doily added just the right touch.
Here is a close up:
If you have any questions just ask in the comments. Unfortunately Blogspot has no way for me to email you in return, so if you leave me your address I'll certainly respond to you, or just come back to the comments sections for my reply.
I hope you enjoyed this peak at the new catalog as well as my card. Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Quick and Simple Sat for Aug 23rd.
I know this card may not look as quick and simple as usual, but the other item that goes with is very quick and simple.
And here it is. Isn't it a beautiful box? This was made using the new Stampin Up box maker that is in the new Holiday catalog. It makes a box as large as 4"x4"x4", the one I made here is 4x4x1.75. I really like the shorter box.
After making it, I had some pieces I had cut off the new 12x12 paper SU came out with just for making boxes, so I decided to make a card with some of it.
To make the card I simple cut between the tree rows and put them on a piece of gold foil, then I used the same stamp/punch set for the tree that I used for the tag on the box. Also for the box, I used the brand new yummy satin gold ribbon and I gold embossed the tree on the tag.
For the card I stamped a tree out, then gold embossed the gold wreath and used a star punch for the top. There is a star in the tree set, but it was quicker to just punch of of the gold foil.
The new paper for making boxes is gorgeous and a great weight for boxes, double sided as well, so when you open your box it's just as pretty inside.
The holiday catalog goes live on Aug 28th. If you need a catalog, please let me know. I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge 216
Today we have a sketch challenge. I used Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Basic black, and Smoky Slate.
I inked up 1/2 of my embossing folder with Smoky Slate and embossed the whole piece. I cute the Back To Black DSP into 1/2" wide pieces to layer over top.
Here is the sketch this week.
Come on over and play, the link is on the right side bar.

Stampin Up, Mojo Monday359
I find myself in need of sympathy cards all to often at this time in my life. So, it helps to have some ready.
I used 2013-2015 incolors for this one. I colored in the flower using my blender pen and ink pad, the stitching is made using the white chalk marker.
I also used my envelop framelits to add a piece of DSP to the envelop. It just gives it that extra little touch.
The set Bloom with Hope that I used is available as a host set. You don't have to have a workshop, of course you can if you wish, but if you order at least $150 in product you can choose at least $25 in product, any product, but the host sets are priced at a very special price, so an excellent bargain.
Thanks for coming by, I hope you enjoyed.

Stampin Up, Quick and Simple Sat, aug 16
I have a pretty Fall card for you today. It would suit many occasions, not just fall. It may not look so quick and simple, but it really is.
I used Hello Honey as my base card. Then white with a piece of DSP from the Moonlight Designer Series paper stack below it. You can use anything you like in place of the Dottied Scallop Ribbon punch if you like. A simple piece of ribbon or just a straight piece of CS would work here.
Only one stamp set it involved. For All Things. I inked up the little watercolor background and stamped off on a piece of scrap paper, then stamped it onto my card. It still had plenty of ink, but lets the top stamp show up beautifully.
My favorite color right now is Blackberry bliss, it's just gorgeous. And it looks so good with Hello Honey.
I hope this gives you some ideas for your own cards.
Don't forget, right now until the 10th of Sept, if you sign up as a new Paper Pumpking subscriber, you will get the first 2 months at half price. That's only $10! It so worth much more then that. You can check it all out in my store, and are free to stop it at any time there isn't any catch to this.
Click on any of the graphics below and it will take you to my store.
