10 Days of Christmas 2014, Day 6, Stars
Welcome again, today we are doing Day 6 of my 10 days of Christmas. We have stars today. This Bright and Beautiful set is gorgeous and the sizes match the Star Framelit set.
I used Whisper White and Pear Pizzaz for this card.
I hope this will help you with your own Christmas cards this year.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge 221
And it's PPA thursday. I found this to be an interesting sketch today. At first I wondered what in the world I could do with it, next, what could I do with it to make it my own.
I've been wanting to play more with water color. Specifically the Aqua Painters, and I loved how this turned out!
It's so easy too. I simply used my Versa Mark pad and white embossing powder to emboss the ornaments, then put some drops of Cherry Cobbler in my Aqua Painter with water till I got the color I wanted, then it was a simple matter of just brushing across the embossing. I wanted the brush marks for effect.
The card base is one of the gorgeous pieces from the Under the Tree Speciality DSP. This paper is meant for boxes, and it works so well for them, nice and heavy, but not so heavy that you can't fold.
It's also double sided and makes for such a great card inside, love love love this paper. Each sheet is a color design on one side and Kraft design on the other leaving you with a nice light inside to stamp or write on.
The tiny star is from Bright and Beautiful and cut out using the smallest of the Star Framelits.
Please let me know how you like this idea, both the box paper and the Aqua painter part. Then stop by another time and you'll find my response in the comments. Thanks so much for stopping by.
And here is a look at our challenge sketch this week.

Stampin Up PAL's Paper Arts challenge #217
I can't seem to help myself. Now that I have so many Holiday sets I just have to use them, and this sketch just seemed ready made for this stamp set.
Woo Hoo, it's finally here! Today is the day you can start ordering from the new Holiday catalog! Do you have your copy? My customers have theirs, let me know if you'd like to have one.
Today I used Bright and Beautiful stamp set. It matches up with the star framelits and makes a very elegant Christmas card, but I don't believe it's just for Christmas.
I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and ink, Silver embossing powder with Versa Mark embossing ink.
You can also use the Silver Metallic Encore ink.
TIP: Remember when you use the metallic ink, it's pigment ink, meant for embossing, so if you are not embossing, give it a good long time to dry, or you can go over it with your heat gun to set it.
My sentiment is from Christmas Bliss, love that new set, lots of very neat sentiments. Now that I think about it, I could have embossed the sentiment also, but it's pretty either way. And I dearly love these skinny gold and silver ribbons, I hope they stick around for a good long time. I punched a hole in both sides of my oval and ran the ribbon through.
I used my tiny start punch to add the little star out of red glimmer.
I hope you enjoyed todays card, and if you are up for it, I do love to hear what you think. Keeping in mind that for some reason blogger doesn't give me a method of replying to your comment other then leaving my own comment, that is what I will do.
