Freshly Made Sketches #298, Just for You

Another great sketch this week over at Freshly Made Sketches. This time it's from a friend of mine, she does awesome cards and every week is an inspiration, Linda Callahan.

So, stop on over by CLICKING HERE.  And check out Linda's card and the rest of the team.

I did my rose on vellum.  I love working on vellum, it kind of disappears showing you just the design. I stamped using my Berry Burst, allowed it to dry, (this can take awhile), then flipped it over and used my Blender pen on the back side to finish coloring in.  And that is it.   Easy one today.

My colors are, Whisper White, Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Smoky Slate, and Basic black.  If I had stamped my rose in archival black, it would have dried much quicker, but you can always hit it with a bit of heat from the heat gun to help it along too.

Here is the sketch:

Stampin Up, Global Design Project #008

I am so enjoying the GDP challenges. We are able to play with Demonstrators from all over the globe.
I had a hard time this week, took me a while to come up with something, but here it is.  Kind of a grungy little card, with some pops of  color.

I used Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Crumb cake.  The lines are made using the Brushstrokes background stamp.

Thanks for coming by to see what I was up to.

Stampin Up, Freshly Made Sketches #191

Hello, and I hope summer is going well for you. I know many areas of the country are suffering with horrible weather, so good thoughts going out your way that you are all good.

I am trying a challenge I have only done a time or two before today. I've kind of been hopping around just doing any challenge that interests me.  This one is really neat.

I used Lost Lagoon, Mint Macraron, Blackberry Bliss and Black StazOn ink.
A note on the StazOn ink, it's permanent ink, make sure you have the StazOn ink cleaner, otherwise you will forever have black stamps.  Also, just rub the cleaner on without water first, clean with a paper towel, then wash.

You would never know that I stamped off onto my paper with the blackberry bliss before stamping on my watercolor paper, it's still pretty dark, just take note of that. I used a brush to brush on a little water just where I wanted it before stamping, you can also use a small brush to spread out the color if it has blank spots.

Love, love, love the Watercolor words!

Have an awesome day, and thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts #255

Welcome.   Today's PPA challenge is a color challenge:

I do love blues and browns together, it's a great color combo for a guy card, but I just had to use flowers, right?   That piece you see in the center is from the new 12x12 DSP Neutrals Stack.  They have been all redone for this year and the patterns are fab.
Also, instead of White and Very Vanilla in this stack they have put Gold and Silver, it just doesn't get any better then that!

Very simple card, I hope you enjoy and it gives you some ideas of your own.  But hey, feel free to CASE, in SU talk that is Copy and Share Everything.
