Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts #283

So, today is a color challenge.  I hope you are enjoying the new look and changes that have been made to the PPA challenge.   We will now have color and sketch challenges scheduled to alternate each week.

Here are todays colors:

I had a lot of fun with this.  I love this free set from the new SAB catalog.  I love even more that I get to choose free stuff during this time when I order for the new Occasions or any other current catalog.
So, I cut my Whisper White CS using a die, then used the same die to cut a piece of vellum.

I stamped my flowers on one side of the vellum, then colored them on the back side using my Blender pens, or you can use markers if you have them.  It gives a little different look. I covered my glued spots when I put them together with the clear dots.

By putting the die cut hello I left it open to many other uses. I think it will be a birthday card.  I love the Melon Mambo ribbon across the Mint Macaron.

Check on the rest of the teams cards HERE

I hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up PP color challenge #257, Sneak Peek for 2015 Holiday Catalog

Ok so I might, just might have gotten a wee bit too grungy with this, think? It just looked to "clean" before However, you can see the beauty of theses leaves. New for fall in the Holiday catty. I had to have this set right off the bat!   Strangely enough, I am not a fall or leaf kinda person, but these had that gorgeous stained glass look and spoke to me.  I'm sure you will be seeing them a lot.

I used the new SU Archival Black ink.  TIP: Be sure you have Staz On cleaner before you use this or the new Archival Basic Gray ink, then rub a good amount on the stamp to clean, do not use water until you are fairly sure it's completely clean, then rinse.  It may still stain a little. But honestly it doesn't look bad and of course will not come off on other projects you use the stamp on.

After stamping and using the die for this leaf, I just sponged on the colors for the challenge.
I also sponged the Boho embossed piece just a little bit. Here is the colors for the challenge.
And go here to play.

Although I am showing the items I used, the new ones in the catalog will not be avail. until Sept 1.

Stampin Up, Garden in Bloom class card

It's been several days since I last posted.  I've been at Convention! My first and most likely my last as SU won't be doing it in the US every year anymore, so glad I could go!

I had class today, this was the only card I got ready before I left, it kind of grew on it's own.

I used Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Black and Mint Macaron. Blushing bride is not a color I use hardly ever! I'm not sure why, it's really pretty, I'll be using it more often.

I was done with this card and set it aside. In the shuffle of my mess a butterfly I'd cut out landed on the card, and there it stayed. It really amps it up.

We got the new Holiday Catalog while at Convention.  And all I'm going to say about that is, start saving your money! Wow, it's fabulous!

Hope you enjoy and get ideas of your own, thanks for stopping by.
