Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts challenge #223

Ok, so with colors of Tangelo Twist, Basic Black and Very Vanilla, what kind of card would you make? LOL. Yup, I could have made a pretty and bright flowery card or? But hey, it's that time of year, and I do have lots of grandsons I can send to.

But I have a little secret, I didn't use Very Vanilla. I do have the paper, but I wanted to use this piece from the Back to Black DSP pack.  The Typeset DSP would have worked great too, but I don't have that one, might have worked even better!
I cut the black strip using my Rotary add on to my trimmer. It's super easy to switch out the arms and the blades as well.  The blades are in little cartridges, so you can't get cut. I used the small scallop blade on this, very quick to do.

I wanted to use the Banner Framelits, but they were too long to get the width I needed, so I did it by hand.  After cutting the sides to fit, I simple cut up the center from the bottom, then cut in from each side. You can adjust the amount of angle you want this way.

I sure hope you enjoyed it. Now go, have fun!
