Romance is in the air. Just Add Ink #445

I know I've said it before, but I am in love with this set.  I wasn't sure when I first saw it, but was convinced after seeing what could be done with it.  You can make it as simple or full as you would like.  The extra pieces in both the stamp set and dies allows for it to be anything you want.   I used the main image, the large floral, plus one each of 2 different leaves that I added.

I'm doing this one for the Just Add Ink challenge for this week, you can find it here.

You only have to use one kind of embossing, but I love embossing, both kinds so I did both.
I used Sahara Sand to stamp my floral out on. Using the White Craft ink I embossed with white powder then used my Highland Heather blends to color in.  It made for a pretty dusty color that I ended up liking even tho it's a bit hard to see that it's purple.

The dry embossing was done with a brand new folder that will be available March 1st, in the 2nd round of SAB. It's free with a $50 order and it's a must have.   You can see it used in a totally different way on another post I did here:

My leaves are Mossy Meadow Blends with Highland Heather and a bit of Gorgeous Grape for the flowers. I added tiny pearls in the center of those flowers, some speckles from a little stamp and a few tiny pearls scattered around. The tiny butterfly cut out of the Botanical Butterfly DSP, that is also free with a $50 order.

My ribbon I'm sorry to say is unavailable at this time. It is suppose to be coming back in March, but there will be a scramble to order when it does.  It was very popular and sold out quickly, it was also an SAB item.   Meanwhile, focus on the new items and if you like them, order asap, remember the SAB ends at the end of March.

Thanks for stopping.

Just for You Doily card, Paper Players #428

I am a huge fan of doilies.   So, this set, the Dear Doily bundle in the 2019 Occasions catalog was right up my alley.

A fairly simple card made for the Paper Players challenge here.
The simplicity allows the doilies to shine.  I love that the color challenge allows the Melon Mambo to pop beautifully.
I've used the new Rectangle stitched dies to add  to the effect.   The ribbon is long retired. It reminds me I really need to order more ribbon.

I added the smaller doily to a round die cut and popped it up with dimensionals.
I love the fonts and sentiments in this stamp set also. Such pretty fonts.  I added one to another round die cut.

You are Loved, Just Add Ink #443

I have a brand new product to show off today.  This embossing folder is part of a 2nd group of new SAB items you can buy starting March 1st.  I LOVE this one, pretty much still drooling over it.  Some of the new embossing folders we are getting really don't need anything except to be embossed on white, but oh it is so much fun to play with them.

This card is for the Just Add Ink Challenge. See it HERE.
I choose coloring and sequins.

To start with I sponged on Lovely Lipstick, then sponged Soft Sea Foam onto the leaves.  I added a few sequins and that was it.  The frame is an SAB set of foils, it has both Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove.   I cut my frame to size for my base, then cut the center out using the Rectangle Stitched dies.   Now besides making a nice frame, I still have that center piece to use.

I cut a piece of vellum just over an inch wide and used my stamp positioner to stamp the sentiment  in black.  Be sure to set aside until dry, it can take some time. Or you can use your heat gun, but be careful that can warp the paper. To attach the vellum I put a glue dot under each sequin.
That is about it. A fairly simple card.   I hope you enjoy.

Climbing Roses, Birthday day, Global Design Project # 175

Birthday card for Daughter #2.   I have 2 daughters with the same birthday in Feb.  4 Years apart.
This is my first attempt using Climbing Roses, I kept looking at the set but didn't have any ideas that I really liked for it, until this one.     So, first I did it for the GDP#175 challenge, I love having a place to start and that was it for me today.  Check all the projects out here.

I used Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.
To make the background was really easy.   I used the Marbled background stamp. I laid it face up and sponged some Highland Heather on it randomly.  Then I took my piece of Watercolor paper and lightly spritzed it with water and put it down on the stamp and ran my bone folder down it to get it all covered.     You may end up doing that more then once to get just the look you want.

I white embossed the larger flower image, then did a color wash.   It's easy and it's hard to go wrong.  I just use my ink pads and Aqua painter.  Brush the aqua painter across the top of the ink pad,  then squeezing a bit of water out at the same time, swirl it into the lid.
If you need it darker, just run the brush across the pad again, you can keep doing that to get just the amount of color you want.

I did the leaves first. On this stamp most of them are around the edges so it was pretty easy.  Then anything else that wasn't a leaf got Gorgeous grape.  I did add a bit of darker color in spots.

I then cut out the small rose die that is in the die set, and used the aqua painter again to color it.  The ribbon is part of the pack of 5 from the 2019 SAB brochure, but is currently unavailable. Check with your demonstrator to have her let you know when it's available again, it is looking like it will be March.

I used the Petite Treats bundle for my sentiment. I added a few pearls just because and attached my top to my bottom.

If you have questions, please post in comments and that is how I will have to answer as well.
