Stampin Up, PPA258, a Birthday card

It's time for a new Pals Paper Arts challenge.   This week it's a color challenge:

When I saw these colors I knew I wanted to use my new The Open Sea set and made a birthday card
for hubby.  It's not a new set, but I have loved it sense it came out and always put it on the back burner for something else.  Meanwhile fellow Pal and friend Windy Ellard keeps posting the cutest cards using this set, so today is my turn.

I used vellum for my stamped ships log, I stamped using StazOn ink as the vellum can take a really long time to dry especially in humid areas.  If you use the StazOn ink please have the cleaner ready, it won't come off using a standard cleaner and when you use the StazOn cleaner, don't use water until you have put cleaner on the stamp and gotten it clean using a paper towel.

Ok, back to the card. I used just a bit of a lighter blue on the water using my Blender pen, then went over the top of the water line with a bit of Night of Navy.

I hope you enjoy.

This is a great masculine card, Lynn. I know your husband will love it. The ship's log looks awesome stamped on vellum. Thanks so much for joining us at the PPA this week!

Super card! You are going to make your husband smile. I find it tough to do masculine cards - perhaps I should take lessons from you!
