Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts 253, Happy Birthday
Yup, I need another birthday card today. I'm having dinner at a friends and her grandson, who lives with her is having a birthday today.
Here it is and it's also the Pals Paper Arts challenge card for this week.
Here is the Sketch:
This was pretty different, right? But so much fun. If you hop over to Pals Paper Arts, you will see more cards and how others adapted the sketch.
My colors today are Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Smoky Slate, Whisper White.
I have friends on some of the flood areas and a daughter near Houston. Some terrible stories of loss of life coming out of there, if you pray, prayers would be appreciated for all of those in the flooded areas.
Now, on the the card and what I used. Just click on any image below to go to my store. You can buy of coure, (except the items from the new catalog, that will be a few more days) but you can also check out lots of other things. Have an awesome weekend.

Stampin Up, Paper Players 246
I'm playing with the Paper Players again this week. They vary the challenges so it's never the same thing. This week it's a sketch challenge. I did a pretty simple card using some new colors. Mostly Watermelon Wonder, and I added a black layer then the birthday candle layer. It's from the new 6x6 paper stack, I love the new size, you can do even more with it, but the designs are still scaled down for cards.
It's hard to see the sheen of the ribbon, but the 5/8" satin ribbon is so soft and pretty with a nice sheen on it. I debated making a bow over at the one side, but decided I wanted to do something else. I used Black and Bermuda bay for the flowers, the black behind just to make it pop a bit. And stuck them together using the tiny dots, they do the job without raising them up more.
The Dimentionals are under the black to raise it up some. My sentiment just seemed kind of lonely so I felt it needed something more. The circle did the trick.
I sure hope you enjoyed. If you would like to see everyone else's card or maybe even join in, go here:
The Watermelon Wonder and the paper stack are in the new catalog, so will not be available until June 2nd.

Stampin Up, Black and Gold challenge
So, we, the Pals, had a webNar last night and it seems I'm told I issued a Black and gold card challenge. Hmmmm, well, I didn't think anyone saw that. LOL
Of course this means I have to come up with one, so here it is. It's very hard to get a good photo of, that's real red inbetween the layers, and pearls in the center of the flowers.
The sentiment is from a new set called You've Got This, so it's not available until June 2nd, but otherwise it's all current.
Just a little tip before I go, watch what you say. You could end up having to make a card.

Stampin Up Pals Paper arts challenge #252
So, here is one of the new Incolors, well 2 if you count the candle color. This is one of the new greens called Mint Macaron. The candle is Delightful Dijon, in the middle I have Soft Suede for the chocolate part of the cake.
The envelop is made using the new incolor set of envelop papers, they are lighter then our DSP and work great as envelops. But if you are so inclined, you can use it anywhere.
This card is my one of my 3 youngest grandsons. They were all born within one year, so one after another they turn the same age. This is Michaels card, the 1st born of the 3.
The cake image on here will only be available until June 2nd. It's a host set as well, so you will need at least a $150 order, but if you do that you will be able to get this plus some other stuff, you will have $25 to spend. But the new incolors, and the new envelop papers will not be available to be ordered until June 2nd. So, see? On June 2nd you can order from the current main catalog, the Occasions catalog and the new main catalog all at the same time. How great is that?!
I hope you enjoy, here is a photo of the card inside the envelop.
Oh, and BTW, the color really is Mint Macaron, it's not the Macaroon that is made with coconut, it's a french cookie and this is it's color.

Stampin UP, Mojo monday 398 and Paper Players 245
Once again two challenges came together perfectly! Well almost perfectly, Paper Players was a challenge to do a girly card clean and simple. I don't think I met the simple part, but I am loving it. I used the sketch at Mojo Monday for the card, looks very close to the sketch and very girly I think.
So, did I manage both? You tell me. I am so going to miss this paper, it's from the Occasions catalog, Something Borrowed DSP, you have until June 2nd to order it, so if you love it like I do, get it soon.
Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:
I love this sketch! I may have to do it again.
Here is the link to Paper Players.
I know they would both love to have you join in.

Stampin Up, Mojo Monday 397 and Paper Players 244
I normally don't do one card for 2 challenges, but today was just too good to resist. Since I was busy yesterday and didn't do my Paper Players, and PP turned out to be a color challenge while Mojo Monday was a sketch challenge I just had to do it.
The PP colors are Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand and Pistachio Pudding, I tossed in Whisper White.
Here is the sketch.
So you see, great colors, cute sketch, they just had to go together.
Today might be a bit confusing as I mixed colors and product that is retiring and some that is brand new. New product will be available for you to purchase June 2nd. That is also the date to order retiring product.
Pistachio Pudding is an incolor and is going out. The dotted patterned paper is in a retiring 12x12 stack of DSP. The gorgeous flower pattern paper is in the brand new revamp of the 121x12 DSP stacks. I love, love, love the new paper stacks, they used to be my go to, but wasn't as happy when they changed, but this change is awesome, super great patterns! Personally, I'm going to try and get them all this year.
I hope you enjoy! Please feel free to come and play in either of these challenges, they really are a lot of fun.

Stampin UP, 2015_2016 Sneak Peak Watermelon Wonder
Are you ready for the new catalog? You should be starting to see some little peeks into the new big catalog.
You are seeing one of the new incolors, Watermelon Wonder.
Also, you are seeing one of the new 12x12 DSP paper stack pages. They are all new this year, and I love them all! SU did a great job with these. If you are wondering what color this page is, although it's not showing all that well, it's silver! Yup, the Neutrals pack has Silver and Gold along with the other neutrals instead of the Very Vanilla and Whisper white. Isn't that cool??????
But, I'm really sorry, you can't order the new product just yet, but come June 2nd you sure can.
the lace trim on the bottom is actually the incolor ribbon from the new incolors. There are all 5 ribbons matching the new colors.
Want to see what they look like?
Here you go:
Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush and Delightful Dijon.
Enjoy!
The flower I used is from Hello Darlin and is retired but available for the rest of this month.
