I was making cards for my upcoming class and my brain just took off on it's own. This was the result.
I am working on doing watercolor, but I'm not very good at it! I made 4 different watercolor pieces and this was my favorite.
After my watercolor dried, I stamped on it with our Archival black ink. Best to use that or Staz-on so it doesn't run or cause the colors to run. Not too much of a risk here even if I used Memento, but just in case. I love how the florishes have that same look as the design in Timeless Textures. The texture in the watercolor paper caused that.
Then I cut each strip. I made them 1 1/4" high x the width of my yellow. The hello is from A Dozen Thoughts, and I used this little sentiment because I have the big Easter one inside from Suite Sayings.
I topped it off with flowers from Botanical Builder Framelits dies.
Feel free to CASE ( Copy and share everything) it's just what we do. If you post yours, it would be very nice if you linked back to give me credit. Thanks.
My colors were: Rich Razzelberry, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey.

Stampin Up, Black and Gold challenge
So, we, the Pals, had a webNar last night and it seems I'm told I issued a Black and gold card challenge. Hmmmm, well, I didn't think anyone saw that. LOL
Of course this means I have to come up with one, so here it is. It's very hard to get a good photo of, that's real red inbetween the layers, and pearls in the center of the flowers.
The sentiment is from a new set called You've Got This, so it's not available until June 2nd, but otherwise it's all current.
Just a little tip before I go, watch what you say. You could end up having to make a card.

Mojo Monday 357, Just Because
Here is todays Mojo Monday card. It took some thinking to get a card that was my own style from the sketch. I wanted something more simple.
I'm enjoying stamping on some of my patterned paper, as long as the colors are light enough and the pattern not too busy I think it works and adds another dimention.
I used Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede. Check out the pearls, they show better in person, and I love how they added to my florish. There are just so many things you can do with this stamp set, from the simple small florish to the really large one. You can use them in the back ground or stand alone. You can add pearls, rhinestones tiny punched flowers ect.
Here is the sketch, why don't you come play?

Stampin Up, Quick and Simple Saturday #1
Good saturday morning. Since I am now fixed up to the point I can get a bit more done with my Stampin Up, I've decided to go back to doing a very quick card one day a week. I've picked sat for this. I used to do wed, but I'm having a harder time with that.
I sure hope you enjoy this one. It's very quick and easy to do. I stamped the florish onto Whisper White CS, then trimmed around it. I added the gold splotches at that point just for some added detail.
I cut my piece of Marina Mist just a 1/4" larger then the white and glued them together then glued them to the Smoky Slate card base. I then added the sentiment and cut a small piece of the Gold Sequin trim and attached it to the bottom of the florish. No ribbon to tie or bows to be made keeping it easier. But feel free to use ribbon, it would look great.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come by monday for my Mojo monday card.
