For a special person.
Brrrrr, it may be AZ but it is cold today. Although temp is 50 and the sun is shinning, the north wind is blowing very cold air.
So, I decided a special person needed a special card and I made one last card. There comes a time when my brain just tells me that it has done enough Christmas card, I am officially done. But I love this. What you cannot see very well is the design in the red strip. It's DSP, then has the gold twine wrapped once.
Are your cards done?

GDP066, A Birthday card
Yes, it's been several days since I've posted. I've been doing what most of you are too, finishing up my Christmas, getting things done and mailed. Right in the middle of all that I have a birthday to do. One of my grandsons turns 17 on the 16th of Dec, so made this one for him.
I used a new DSP stack that I fell in love with. It's so different, very usable for any age and a bit grungy, but not a lot. You can add to that if you want more. I inked the edges of tha paper with Crumb cake a bit to add some in. The DSP stack is in the Occasions Catalog with a start date of Jan 4, 2017. Be sure and check it out and select your free items from the SAB brocure. You will get to choose 1 item from that little catalog for each $50 you purchase from any of the current catalogs.
I have the hardest time with masculine cards and my grands are all up where that is necessary, no more cutesy cards for them.
I hope you enjoyed and I gave you a bit of inspiration. That is always my aim.

Noel, A Christmas Card for the MojoMonday#477 Challenge
Another day, another challenge card. I think I still need a few more cards too. Anyway, this was a neat sketch, but one of those I had to really think about. If you put two things together to make one card face, they really need to compliment each other.
I have been looking for an excuse to use this DSP, Fancy Frost. It is pre embossed paper all in white that you can use as is or color. It's a great use for the new soft brayers. However, mine were in transit so I just sponged on the color by hand.
My colors are Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Tempting Turquoise. I know, TT is a very strong color, but if you use a light hand it can look like this. Surprised me too. I did some googling for alt Christmas colors, and it seems like at least for this year, the Bone, turquoise and white combo is very in. I don't have bone, I have Very Vanilla, but that is not bone, I choose to go more to the brown with Crumb Cake. Brown and blues do very well together.
I cut one piece from my Fancy Frost design the size I needed it and then cut for the sketch. It is not down the middle, but slightly off set from the middle. Here is the sketch so you can see.
So here you can see the offset of the sketch. I used my sentiment as the piece across the bottom and rimmed the front using gold foil.
I hope this has given you just a bit of inspiration, that would make me very happy. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Bright and Beautiful Season, A Christmas Card
Christmas is getting so close! I'm on my finishing for my gifts and cards. Hope to have it all gone soon. Meanwhile I still need a few more Christmas cards. One with the Merry Monday challenge.
So, here is this weeks inspiration piece. And the Challenge is to put candy canes on your card.
That took some thought and in the end I did something simple, but I believe, beautiful.
I used a piece of Candy Cane Lane DSP over top of Real Red with Real Red twine wrapped around. The sentiment is from last years Embellished Ornament set, still in the Annual catalog though. It's one of my favorites, and 3 rhinestones for bling.
I put my sentiment down first, usually I do that last, but I wanted to see how much room I had before I cut my DSP and card stock. My red bottom layer is 1 3/4" and my DSP is 1 1/2".

Playing with Holly Happiness
I've been playing with this pretty little set and it's punch lately. I'm working on finishing up the rest of my cards so I can get them sent. Today I made 2 with the same set, similiar cards, but I love this one the best. I think because it has more contrast. I also love the double stitched framelit.
On both cards I embossed and softely sponged on a bit of Garden Green on the holly leaves. My other color here is Rich Razzleberry. I stamped the bow using Rich Razzleberry onto the same color CS and punched it out. I added a rhinestone for sparkle.
Here is the second card.
I used Sweet Sugarplum on this one. It is the same color as Rich Razzleberry, just a much lighter shade. They actually look great together. I used the Layered framelits for my larger oval on this and did the same sponging. The Merry is from the Christmas Greetings Thinlit dies, and then I used just the Christmas from Banners for Christmas.
I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for stopping by.
