I had already done one Christmas in July for my class and still had the set sitting out when I heard about the Paper Players challenge for this week. I just had to play.
Being that I live in the desert, using the set for Christmas is just so much fun! And the DSP (Designer Series Paper) that matches the set is fabulous with fun graphics and great colors.
I did use the colors that match the DSP, so not red, but Melon Mambo together with our new Emerald Envy and some Daffold Delight.
If you can see the sparkle at the bottom and around the cactus plants, I just squirted out a bit of white glue, Tombo in this case, took a wet brush or even better the Aqua painter and brushed over the glue adding a bit of water, then I sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds and set it aside to dry. If you do this, best to use a bit of Watercolor paper or our Shimmery White will work well too.
I also sponged on a bit of Melon Mambo around the edges of the dsp. The Peaceful Pines and Perfect Pines was used for the ornaments hanging from the cactus.
Thanks for looking!

Great card, Lynn!
What a clever Christmas card...so fun & cute! Living in the northeast, I sometimes forget that Westerners have very different scenery come Christmas! I love how you embraced that! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players!!!
