Stampin Up, Paper Players 255, Sneak peek SU 2015 Holiday Catalog

I have a fun sneak peek for you today.  This Designer series paper and this stamp set are from the new 2015 Holiday catalog.  I was lucky enough to win this set and Paper while at Convention.

It will not be available to for purchase until Sept 1st, just so you know. I'll have the listings for you to be able to find it all just so that it will make things easier come Sept.   You will be seeing a lot more soon, our pre order period starts Aug 4th.

The Paper Players challenge this week is a sketch challenge.

Lots and lots of ways to use this one!  And I really wanted to show off this snowflake set. The  snowflake I have used here is compatable with the Flower Medallion punch, and in the Holiday catalog you'll fine a punch for the 2 small snowflakes. There is also a larger snowflake.  And some sentiments!

I hope you enjoy!

Stampin Up, Garden in Bloom class card

It's been several days since I last posted.  I've been at Convention! My first and most likely my last as SU won't be doing it in the US every year anymore, so glad I could go!

I had class today, this was the only card I got ready before I left, it kind of grew on it's own.

I used Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Black and Mint Macaron. Blushing bride is not a color I use hardly ever! I'm not sure why, it's really pretty, I'll be using it more often.

I was done with this card and set it aside. In the shuffle of my mess a butterfly I'd cut out landed on the card, and there it stayed. It really amps it up.

We got the new Holiday Catalog while at Convention.  And all I'm going to say about that is, start saving your money! Wow, it's fabulous!

Hope you enjoy and get ideas of your own, thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Paper Players #254 Bowl of cherries

Todays challenge at the Paper Players is Frames, check it out HERE

I had to stop and think for a min.  I use frames, namely usually the framelits very often, but I don't start out to do so.  I had to cut some really tiny pieces of Stampin Dimentionals to have it fit under the frame part.

I just love this set, mostly because it's get a cat in it. You did notice the name of my blog, right? If not, scroll up!  Second, I like it because it's humorous.  Sometimes it's just fun to poke fun.

I wasn't sure about using the English Garden DSP, but every time I tried something else, this just looked better.   All in all  a pretty simple card.  I just got the thick Bakers Twine in Cherry Cobbler from the last weekly deal. Christmas is coming and I use a LOT  of Cherry Cobbler.

So, colors today are, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Momento Black, and Smoky Slate.  I hope you enjoy it and it sparks an idea for you.

Stampin Up, Pal's Paper Arts Challenge # 260

Today PPA has a sketch challenge.   When I was planning out the card, I decided I wanted to use some of the awesome product I got from Lisa Pretto, one of the perks of having awesome uplines.

I also used my new stamp set from the Watercolor Wishes kit.  The stamps are not sold separate for this one kit and it's an awesome sentiment set.   There are also lots and lots of pretties in this set, and comes completely with pretty much everything you would need including envelops.

My envelop here is using the new envelop paper in the new catalog. This is the new incolors pack and there is also a neutrals pack, it's lighter weight and really works great for envelops.

I used a combination of Floral Framelits and punches to get my flower, so go wild, just try a bunch of punches and/or framelits you have.

If you have any questions just ask in the comments section. I have no way to reply to you personally unless you leave me contact info or send an email.  So, if you don't do that, check back for your answer in the comment section.
The center of my flower is one of the new  White Perfect Accents, I colored mine.  A small button would have looked awesome as well.

I used Hello Honey, Night of Navy, Whisper White and Blushing Bride.  The patterned paper is English Garden.   My personal opinion is that it is one of the most beautiful paper sets SU has given us ever. The colors I used were drawn from that paper.
Here is the sketch:

Stampin Up, Paper Players color challenge #253

This weeks Paper Players challenge is a color challenge. But first, if you haven't noticed, I was headliner last week at PP.  I was shocked and happy at that.

This week I played with the brick embossing folder. It's a 6x6" folder, which is great for those square cards we like to do sometimes.  But can be used for smaller cards too.  I used a white marker in the grooves for the concrete grout.  I'm really enjoying using the Thinlit words.  They come in really handy.

I had a really hard time with cleaning this photo up I'm afraid, the white base card hardly shows at all, but it's here.  I hope this gives you ideas of your own, thanks for stopping by.
Here in AZ we are in full summer mode, it's also monsoon season, so we are having a lot more humidity then usual and often the whole day or at least part of it is over cast and we are getting thunder and lightening storms.

Stampin Up, Paper Players challenge, How special is this?

I was checking out the new paper players challenge today and my mouth dropped open!

I was listed at the Headliner for last weeks challenge! That is just such a fabulous feeling when something like that happens.   Give it a try! You just never know.

You will find my post with the card, HERE

And here is my prize.

Stampin Up, PAL's Paper Arts color challenge #259

Ok, I know you've heard it before, but I love this set!  I guess I love every set I've gotten this year.  But, there are more on my wish list.

Today's color challenge are:
The hardest part here, was trying to decide how I could make the basket. And nope, you can't stamp on foil. Or can you? Yes you can, but you have to use StazOn, cool! The foil is also hard to use because it doesn't photograph well. It tends to look dark, sometimes black. For that reason and because I am down to just a few small pieces, I just used a tiny bit.

The other idea I had for this card was to use white on the top layer, then I could have sponged on the clouds, but decided on this version.

The stamp set used is Sprinkles of Life, it's the Ronald McDonald set and will only be here for this year. Part of the procedes go to the Ronald McDonald house and there is a new set each year.

Hope you enjoy, thanks for stopping.

Stampin Up, Mojo Monday # 405

So, I am loving this 6x6 DSP paper stack, Pretty Petals.  I like this size a lot anyway because the patterns are sized for cards and 6x6 is just so easy to use.

My colors are Calypso Coral, Black, Old Olive and Whisper White.
I just think the combo of the Calypso Coral and Black is so crisp. I hope you like it too.  I'm really not an orange person, usually I stay away from them, but this color has a bit of pink in it that I really like.

Here is the sketch for this week.

Below you will find the products I used and clicking on any of them will get you to my store, thanks for stopping by.
