Easter flowers, Just Add Ink #498, Ornate Style

Inspired today by the Just Add Ink challenge #498.

I just added E for Easter and E for embossing.  I really like this stamp set but wasn't over the moon about this stamp until I embossed it. What a difference from the black outline.
I used White embossing powder and colored in using Seaside Spray, Mango Melody Rococo Rose and Soft Seafoam.   For the little specks I used a gold metallic gel pen.

This set is one that will go live on the 1st of Apr for customers. The dies are gorgeous and very different from anything SU has had before. It's called Ornate Garden.

I decided it was worthy of framing so I used the Rectangle stitched dies and made the frame.  The 2 little green rhinestones are from the Noble Peacock rhinestone pack, there are 5 colors in that pack, all gorgeous.
I hope you enjoy, I'm happy to answer comments, but it has to be done in the comment section as Blogger doesn't give me emails.  Happy easter.

Stampin Up, Scrappy strip Friendship card

Bruno Bertucci has a video on this card with the strips.  It couldn't be simpler. The fun part is deciding what colors and or DSP to use.  I used Woven Threads DSP and matched my cardstock to the colors.   White, Black, Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray and Highland Heather.
Next came the hard part, how to dress it up.    I pulled out the Painted Poppies stamps and Painted Label dies for the flower, and decided the die cut from from that set would work great with the sentiment from So Sentimental.

Here is the link to the video with Bruno's instructions.

That is about all these was to this, I know the cuts look like a problem, but they really are not, so watch the video.  Have fun, and thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Just Add Ink#495, Easter card

I decided to make my Just Add ink challenge card, and Easter card.  I love my rainbow of color on my cross.
First, here is the challenge so you can see the rest and maybe come play along.

Cause everyone love a rainbow, right?
I used several colors, 4 on my cross, 5 if you count the black.  Daffidol Delight, Seaside Spray, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody and Basic Black.
I started with making my cross.  I ended up using 4 colors on the watercolor paper.  I used my ink pads, spritzed a little water in the lid and used my aqua brush to pick up color from the pad and mix it in the lid to get the intensity I wanted, the used a small piece of watercolor paper and made streaks of color across the piece adding one color after another.  After dry I used the outside edge die of the Cross of Hope die set (retired) and cut that out, then cut the inside detail out of Basic black CS and glued on top.

I cut my yellow and blue from the Stitched Nested Label die set then popped my cross up on top.   The Easter Blessings came from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and I used the retired Window punch to cut it out.

I cut a piece of white 4"x51/4" and ran it through the Big Shot using the  new Scripty embossing folder .  I did ink the edges of that a bit, you can leave it plain or maybe use a different color if you don't like this.

I cut my Seaside Spray CS on the 8 /12" side to 4 1/4", then scored at 5 1/2".
Before I attched my embossed piece I used a Daffodil ribbon and tied a knot.

I hope you enjoy, thanks for stopping.
