Saying goodbye to the Pals Paper Arts challenge
Yup, it's true, the PPA is ending. This will be it's last week, so come, join us in saying goodbye.
I have LOVED my time as a team member and am so grateful to have been able to do so.
Colors used: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
I think this sketch, by Ginger Toivonen is such a great one for our last project, I had a ball making this card! We have some fun and some gorgeous DSP (Designer Series Paper) this holiday season. I combined the Jolly Friends stamps and punch with Candy Cane lane DSP for this one. I hope you smile just a bit.

Nighttime in the forest
Another set that is just getting used over and over and over. Santa's Sleigh. The deer is great, but the sleigh is stunning and can be done in so many ways. Lots of extras too, tree, gifts ect.
I used Copper foil for my deer, and I'm having so much trouble with photos of the metallics, I think I'll try adding a light from the side. The Woodland embossing folder is in it's second year, but it's just so easy to grab for so many projects.
The GDP challenge this week is projects Pets/Animals, I actually wouldn't mind a deer for a pet, he might not be so happy as a pet in the desert tho.
Colors for this week are: Dapper Denim, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White, And some Copper metallic thread.
As always, click on any image below to be taken to my store.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts #323, Happiest of Birthdays
Happy Thurdays everyone. Today we have a color challenge, so to start this off here they are:
These colors come to you by way of Shawn de Oliveria. If you haven't seen his blog, it is a must see, he does the best cards!
My little silver dots look black I know, the light does that. All my cards with silver anything seem to be hard to photograph and not get some black. But they are Silver Metallic Shapes.
Very simple card, I just stamped leaves all over then followed up with flowers and a bit of grungy dots and added the sentiment from Birthday Blooms. See? Pretty simple. Below find the images that link to my store so you will have all you need to order.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Merry Monday #218, Joy
I love how the Merry Monday challenge is helping me get my Christmas cards done. Hopefully by the time I need to send them, I'll have enough otherwise it will be crunch time. LOL
This week the inspiration was plaid. I have to admit I am just not a plaid person. I don't like them at all, and I have no idea why. So, I didn't buy the DSP with all the plaids, go figure. I decided to make my own, simply ran my paper throught the big shot then put it back in facing the other direction, and didn't use the #2 tab so it wouldn't flatten the first run. It's a little hard to see in the photo, the white is a big bright. But it worked. I tried using my bryer and running over each run with first Cherry Cobbler then the second run with Emerald Envy, but that turned out ugly. Yuck! White won out.
Colors: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Emerald Envy. Gold foil for the sentiment.

Stampin Up PPA#322, The Bells are Ringing
And it's Thur, time for another PPA Challenge. It's sketch challege week, so here is mine. And here is the sketch:
I think there are just too many fabulous Christmas sets this year. Is that even possible? For me it is, my brain gets overwhelmed and I can't decide what to do! Does that happen to anyone else? I think I do better when I don't buy so much, but how can I not? This is the best Holiday catalog I have ever seen!
So, this card really needed to be over sized, but I like my A2 card size for the most part. And all this pretty ribbon I got! I just had to use a piece.
I'm not a huge fan of Delightful Dijon, we all have our favs and not so favs, and this is one of my not so favs, but it just seemed to work here!
I LOVE this DSP pack!!! Presents and Pinecones. So many beautiful patterns.
Should I take this time to make sure you know that for the month of Oct, if you buy 3 DSP packs, you get one free, and you couldn't pick a better year, they are so pretty and cute. The sale is good for both the annual catalog and Holiday catalog, however, note the exceptions. Sale is NOT good for the Specialty DSP or for the Stacks, those are the little pads, both 6x6 and 12x12 are not included.
I'm scheduling my post, so along with you all, I can't wait to see what Susan Itell does with her sketch challenge this week!

GDP#057, Simple Joys
I'm here with this weeks GDP challenge. There are so many on Monday anymore it's hard to choose. Sometimes I do 2 Monday challenges. Anyway, this monday it's a color challenge.
Such pretty colors! They would be stunning with a floral design, but I choose to challenge myself and do Christmas. Gotta get those Christmas cards done.
This ornament is simply stamped on Blushing Bride CS and die cut around the outside edge. It's a gorgeous stamp and could easily be used without dies at all. It's from last year, but I am still in love with the whole set.
The gold foil center does not show up well, but it is very pretty in person. I hope this gives you some inspiration.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

PPA321, Love and Hugs
It's color challenge week at the PPA! Beautiful fall colors:
So, dig out those pretty fall sets, or whatever floats your boat and come join us. I couldn't tell you just what mine is, but someone is going to get plenty of love and hugs! We always know someone who could use those, don't we? While I love to make cards special just for the person, sometimes time doesn't allow so it's good to have a few things on hand. The challenges are very good for doing that.
I wasn't sure I liked this embossing folder, however I bought it and I've found it to be so usable. It's turned into one of my favorites. I'm sorry to have to say, but the Eggplant Ribbon is retired.
Please see the links below to see what I used on this card, if you would like to order or just check out the sets or anything else further, just click on one of them.

Merry Monday 216_ Elfen Christmas
I know it's wed, but I'm just getting my Merry Monday card done. This not only was a hard one for me, but I've been busy. One of my daughters is coming to visit. It's a big deal, I just don't get to see my girls or grands very often. So, monday we shopped and we have been doing some deep cleaning. I mean you know how bad the shower gets, right? And how long it can take to really get it clean? That was a lot of our day yesterday.
So, this weeks challenge was to use an elf. I don't have an elf. Or do I? I had to really think about this. But in the end, who is the biggest elf of all? Santa of course. He is called the Jolly old Elf.
One little tip if you didn't know. You can bend the photopolymer stamps on the block so that you get the banner shape and can use the banner punch or dies.
So that is what I did, with a little help from a couple other sets. And a santa hat punch.
I hope you enjoy.
