Stampin Up Pals Paper Arts 211

And a Happy PPA Thursday to you.  This weeks challenge is a color challenge. Come play along.
Here are this weeks colors:

Pretty simple huh? On screen my Night of Navy looks black, but honest, it's not.  I probably don't work like anyone else.   I start with the bottom of the card and build up, I rarely know what it will end up like.  In this case I knew the colors of course, and I decided I wanted to use this new Embossing folder, it's gorgeous, isn't it?

I started out to see how I liked it when I ran the brayer over it with Daffodil Delight before embossing. Wow, loved it, layed in over the base card and it just yelled to me, I'm done! LOL.

I did need to put a sentiment of course, but it was just too pretty to cover up, so I took a sentiment from the brand new sneak peek holiday catty set and punched it out using my large oval, then layered it over the scallop oval. I didn't have any Night of Navy ribbon, especially little narrow ribbon I wanted for this, so I used a piece of the new white 1/4" cotton ribbon and sponged color on it from my ink pad.  It has a bit of grain, so wasn't covering as quickly as I wanted so I put a couple drops of reinker on my pad and took from that. Worked like a charm.

Next I put rhinestones in the centers and colored them using the new Blendabilities marker. Punched a little butterfly out of one of the patterned papers in the DSP stack and gave him a bit of bling too.
