Wow, snow in Golden Valley AZ!
This is my front yard! I know a lot of you are thinking, what's the big deal, just a little snow!
For us this is a big deal. I live in a valley outside of Kingman AZ. Our weather usually is just about what is in Vegas. We do get a few flurries some years, but not often and this is far from a few flurries.
Now I'm not sure I want to go into town today, we have to cross over a pass at 3700 ft. Well above us.
Enjoy! And have a laugh on us.

PPA 233, More sneak peeks in the Occasions 2015 mini
Don't you just love this gorgeous lacy butterfly? It comes in a set of 3 die cuts. This is the smaller lacy one, there is a large lacy one and one small one that cuts out a matching stamp. Just a stunning set!
The fern and behive behind are also part of the new stamp set, as is the sentiment.
A tip for cutting these thinlits out: Use wax paper between the die and your cardstock, also, try running your die through and back again a couple time to be sure you got all the way through.
I used Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Smoky slate.
The Butterfly, and all stamps are from the new Occasions Mini, that catalog goes live on Jan 6 and customers will not be able to order until then. If you catalogs send me a note at kraftycat at gmail.com. The green DSP is from All Abloom paper stack. I recolored the seam binding just sponging on ink, and the crochet is available now.
Hope you enjoyed and be sure to have your Occasions and SAB catalogs before Jan 6th so you can choose a free item from the SAB mini for each $50 you spend on current product.
You can go HERE to order . There are some awesome product in the free SAB.

I know my blog posting just has not happened much lately. So, I had hip replacement surgery the end of Oct, and was doing fantastic around Thanksgiving, then my luck turned on me and I have back slid twice now. I sure hope that is the end of all that and I can progress.
So, I ended up late for my PPA challenge, but here it is. We have the color challenge this week, here they are:
So, go check it out, the team has done a fabulous job on their cards this week, and there are plenty of posters too.
I hope you enjoy.

PAL's Paper Arts challenge #230
I you have come by looking for something new posted, I am so sorry. I have had a setback on my road to recovery from my hip surgery and have not been able to sit at my desk and make anything.
Starting to do a bit better now, and I really wanted to play with the color challenge for PPA.
These colors are so perfect for Christmas and I do love making Christmas cards.
I hope you enjoy this one. I have some ideas for tags that I may do pretty soon here too. So, come back soon.

Quick and simple Saturday Christmas card
This card truly made up in under 10 min. It's not very often you see me post a card with just one layer, I really like at least that one additional layer so that I have a color showing.
But if you are wanting to make all your christmas cards, this one fits the bill for time saving.
I used 2 of the All is Calm Washi tape rolls, one top and bottom and one in the middle. Just peel and stick, then I stamped 2 sizes of snowflakes, stamped the Joy 3 times on top and added 2 of the little snowflakes and just for a bit of bling put a rhinestone on each. That's it, done.
For colors I used Smoky Slate for my snowflakes and Lost Lagoon for my Joy.

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge # 228, Warmest Wishes
As you can see I am in full Christmas mode these days. I have not gotten many cards done lately because of my surgery, but I am doing so much better even walking on my own around the house. I can't wait until the dr releases me so that I can go back to Curves and build myself up even more.
So, I did pull out a retired set today, so sorry about that, but it just seemed like the perfect thing to go with this paper. The background paper came from the Trim the Tree DSP stack. The papers are smaller and work great for cards and such.
I used Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise for my colors, I love how it came out.
Here is this weeks sketch, you should really think about joining in, it's fun and it really helps to expand your abilities.
I have a question for you, since you are here, I am wondering, how many of you make your Christmas cards you send? And if so, do you make them all, or send some store bought?
Ho, Ho, Ho, and Merry Christmas. Have fun making your Christmas cards.

Stampin Up Peace and Joy
Hello everyone. I haven't posted for a few days, still working on getting over my hip replacement surgery. Today, Tuesday, it will be 3 weeks post surgery and all things considered, I think I'm doing pretty well.
Anyway, I did managed to finally get this beauty done. I finally couldn't stand it any longer, just had to have this Christmas Bauble stamp. I used my Aqua Painter and Watercolor paper. You can use the SU Whisper White paper also, it has some properties like the watercolor paper and does a nice job.
I just fill my Aqua painter with water and touch the brush to my ink pad and paint. I used Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz as my colors to fill in the ornament.
I couldn't decide between the Cherry Cobbler or Blackberry bliss so I used them both with a layer of one of the All is Calm DSP in between.
To attach the bow I punched a hole just above the circle and made my bow putting the ends through the hold and gluing down. Look carefully and you will see the little Rhinestone bling in the center of the ornament.

Combo challenge for todays post, PPA 226 and Mojo Monday 370
If you've been watching my blog, you know I had hip replacement surgery on Oct 28th. Yesterday was the first day I felt I could sit at my desk and make a card, since I missed monday and I loved the sketch for Mojo Monday, and I needed a card for the PPA challenge and that one is colors, I decided to combine them. I have never done that before, I really enjoy making each and every card all on it's own.
Colors for the PPA 226 are Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, and Soft Suede.
This is the Mojo monday sketch:
I started with the new Mossy Meadow incolor for my card base, then used white with a cover of Patterned paper from the Regals DSP Stack.
I used my little wave blade on the stamped and Inked piece, then stamped the banner and cut using the Banner Framelits.

10 Days of Christmas, Day 10, Tags
I thought for our last day, we would do a few little tags. Tags are great fun, invite a friend or two to sit and make tags for those boxes, bags and edible treats you hand out.
I used pieces of the Under The Tree DSP paper for two of these. This CS is meant for boxes, it's really stiff and it's gorgeous. I predict we will be seeing more of this as we have gone wild with ideas for it. It makes super tags and even cards. There is a color design on one side, (see the darker brown) and a kraft look with very light design on the other.
I cut the moose from a piece of the Santa and Co. DSP. Some fun stuff there. And used my tree punch on another piece.
Hope you sit down and have fun with your tags.
If you would like to see them up close, here are some single photos.
