Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge #285

I've been dying to use this new vellum that goes with the Botanical Gardens stamps and dies.  I love how it turned out.  So many different stamps and dies in this set!

I thought about coloring the back of the vellum, but instead put it over the Watermelon Wonder paper.

Here is our color challenge for this week:
Fun colors!  I do hope you will play along with us, give it a try, it's a lot of fun.

Stampin Up, Global Design Project Challenge, Love

Today I am playing with the team at the Global Design Project.  They have an inspiration challenge going this week.   They have posted a card and you take away whatever inspires you about that card and make your own.   It's a really fun idea and the team is so talented.

I was inspired to make a Love card.  I had not used this set yet and was dying to do so.  I did use my precision plate for this, it really makes it much easier, even so with this much detail, you'll want to run it both ways twice to make sure you have a good cut.

I cut the little flowers and put them over the ones cut out with the heart.  Pearls finish this off beautifully I think.

Go HERE to see the rest of the cards for the challenge.

Stampin Up, A Valentine card

Today I have a really cute and simple card done by one of my customers. She does really awesome things and once in a while she brings them to class and shares.   She brought enough supplies so that all of us could make this.  Thank you Sandy!

The sentiment was done on the computer. She wanted it small enough to be able to use the word window punch.   The Kiss is made using the Blossom Builder punch.  Sadly it is retired, but if you have it, it's one end of the largest cut.

Now, go dig out that punch.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts Challenge #284

Third week for our new line up. Alternating color and sketch challenges.   This was a fun sketch challenge, it makes you think, that's a good thing.

I love the new Love Blossoms DSP Stack in the Occasions catalog. It comes in 6"x6" size, perfect for cards.  Do not ask me to teach you how to make an odd paper cut like this one. I have my own, and probably strange way of doing it.  I simple lay the whole piece on my background and cut using my trimmer.

I did use the retired Heart Framelet here, it's the largest of the hearts with the scallop around the outside.   I'm sorry if that causes you a bit of trouble. I just couldn't come up with an idea I liked better.

The Bloomin Love bundle has both the stamp set I used here and the thinlits, I just used the little flowers from it and I cut the banner by hand.  There is a framelit for the banner, however I don't have that set.   It's pretty easy to cut though.

Here is the sketch:
And the text is the link to the PPA site.

I hope you enjoy and I've given you an idea or two. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Pals Paper Arts #283

So, today is a color challenge.  I hope you are enjoying the new look and changes that have been made to the PPA challenge.   We will now have color and sketch challenges scheduled to alternate each week.

Here are todays colors:

I had a lot of fun with this.  I love this free set from the new SAB catalog.  I love even more that I get to choose free stuff during this time when I order for the new Occasions or any other current catalog.
So, I cut my Whisper White CS using a die, then used the same die to cut a piece of vellum.

I stamped my flowers on one side of the vellum, then colored them on the back side using my Blender pens, or you can use markers if you have them.  It gives a little different look. I covered my glued spots when I put them together with the clear dots.

By putting the die cut hello I left it open to many other uses. I think it will be a birthday card.  I love the Melon Mambo ribbon across the Mint Macaron.

Check on the rest of the teams cards HERE

I hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by.

Stampin Up, Mojo monday 429

I am so ready to use something besides Christmas colors.   I haven't played with the Mojo monday crew in a while and liked this sketch, so here it is.

When I saw the sketch, the DSP jumped into my head, along with the rose framelits.
Timeless Elegance, I think they go well together.

Colors are Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz.

I used Wink of Stella, avail in clear and gold in the new Occasions catalog going live tomorrow the 5th of Jan.  Let's see if you can see it in this close up.

It seems to show, but doesn't really look sparkly, but it sure adds to the card, I used some on the rose at the top left corner as well.

Thanks for stopping by, and see below for a link to the products used here.
