Stampin Up, More from class

I thought I'd share with you what a couple of my customers did during class last week.

My original card for class:

This is what I put out to make, but a couple of my ladies went rogue on me. LOL.  I do love when they take what I have done and make it their own.

The stamp they used is a stamp in the set with the border you see on mine and on the one on the left.
The sentiment is a part of the stamp set I used as well. What do you think?

Stampin Up, PPA 209, Just Because

Good morning, or afternoon or evening, whenever you are browsing the internet.
Todays card is a sketch challenge from PPA (Pal's Paper Arts).

I have quite fallen in love with this cute little set So Very Happy. It's whimsical and some adorable elements.
I used it to off set the more elegant nature of the black and white here along with a touch of Pool Party.  One of my customers claims she will one day have a craft room done in Pool Party, Hi Sandy.
I used the new 1/4" cotton ribbon, it's so soft and pretty.   And the sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts.  I've been wanting this sentiment for quite a while now, it just suits so many occasions.

Here is this weeks sketch, why not play along?

Stampin UP, A fun Class project

My monthly class was today, this set was far and away a favorite.  When I first saw it in the new catalog I knew it was going to be one of my very first purchases.  It's called Flower Patch and it has framelits for all but one or two small items, the framlits are called Flower Fair.   It is on bundle price however, so an excellent deal.

This set is a photopolymer set, so you can see completely through it for placement. That allows for over stamping, which just gives you so many more ways to use the set.

For my colors on this I used, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Crisp Cantaloupe. I did the first stamping by inking up my stamp, then stampin off onto paper, then onto my card. Inked the next stamp and stamped on top of that image on the card. So, you get what looks like two colors.  You get a whole different look using 2 different colors and/or using the dies to cut then apply.
This next picture is a card I made showing how you can make it even better.

I used the Hardwood background stamp to make a fence on this one.

Thanks for stopping by, let me know if I can answer any questions.

Mojo Monday 351, Sending Good thoughts

Good Mojo Monday to you! It's a fun sketch this morning.
Here is todays sketch:
For mine I took my colors from the All ABloom DSP Pad.  If you have been here before you'll know
I love those pads, they are sized for cards with a nice selection of double sided designs.  I used a piece of one of them on the left border.

I punched out my circle from the 2 1/2" circle punch and used the gel pen for my stitching, quick and easy and I didn't have to get out the sewing machine. For the banner across I embossed using the Decorative dots folder, then used the striped banner to put my sentiment on. To get it light enough I stamped off on paper before stamping on my CS.   To get the sentiment in just the right spot, the Stamp a ma jig is perfect and easy. I love how the sentiment from Perfect Pennants fit right over the banner from Amazing Birthday.

My colors today are: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede.

I hope I've given you some inspiration today, thanks for stopping by.

Pals Paper Arts 208 - Golden Birthday

It's a golden Birthday card today.  I just couldn't keep my hands off the gold. Gold Soiree DSP is just too gorgeous! I stamped and dry embossed the sentiment in gold as well. The base card is Blackberry Bliss.   I also used the new very soft gold ribbon.  Very quick and simple.

Why don't you play today too?

Stampin Up and Mojo Monday 350

Todays card is bright and sunny. Maybe not my usual style, but so much fun.  Gee, Mojo Monday is up to #350, wow. I should look up when I started and see how many there were. I've been doing them for a couple years now. But that's a lot of sketches and a lot of cards. I haven't missed too many, when
I have it's been for a really good reason.

My colors for this are Strawberry Slush, Whisper White and So Saffron.  The background is from the new DSP pad, All ABloom.    The new think Bakers twine is so much fun to use, this is my first time
with it, great accent.  I also used the Top Note Die to cut my side pieces.

That's about it, pretty simple, yes? Cute, fun, bright and cheerful, I think it screams Summer.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Fathers Day

So, what are your plans for Father's Day?  We hate crowds, so I'll be taking my guy out another day. We do have plans on Tue for a little trip, it's for medical reasons, but we will be getting some fun in too since it's to a place we haven't been.

My husband LOVES all things patriotic! I mean big time, it made his card very easy this year. Stampin Up nicely gave us not only a great stamp set, but matching framelits. This is one set I will not ever be selling.   The sentiment is from last months Paper Pumpkin. I'm gathering a nice little box of neat stamps from my monthly Paper Pumpkin.

Have you heard about PP? Well, if not, it's a cute surprise box that comes in the mail to you every month.  You can start, stop, take a break, any time you like, there is no commitment.
Also, they now have a pre paid Paper Pumpkin. You can get 1, 3, 6 or 12 month plans, they make a fantastic gift. Everything you need is in the box, so if you know someone who just loves crafts, or someone who would like to try, but doesn't have a lot of time and/or doesn't want to buy a whole room full of stuff, this is for them.

I used Real Red and Night of Navy on this, if you really wanted to get fancy, you could emboss some silver stars where I used the little multi star stamp from corner to corner.

Go here to check out both Project Life, and/or Paper Pumpkin

SU Pals Paper Arts Challenge 207

Hello....  We are doing Red/white and blue today.   My favorite color combo of all time.

Since Midnight muse has retired I used Night of Navy, it's better for patriotic ideas anyway.

I put a bit of rubbing alcohol (don't use the other kind, it's just a waste of good drinking alcohol, save that for sitting and sipping while you stare at your gorgeous card.) and added a few drops of refill ink.
Add until you like the color you are getting.  After it was dry I sponged just a bit more on the edges too.
I stamped my cupcake and punched using the cupcake builder punch, added a piece of Night of Navy paper cut with a banner end, then two pieces of ribbon. The red is the new cotton ribbon, so soft and pretty, and the other is the new crochet ribbon, glued my cupcake onto a piece of white punched using the xl Oval punch. Stamped my sentiment at the bottom and added some bling, Rhinestones and Candy dots.

Thanks for stopping by.  To check out any of the products I've used just click on the graphics below. It will take you to my store where you can look around, find out more and buy if you like.
